I’ll be 60 years old in a few months. I’m also on SS Disability. I can barely get through the month with the little money I get from Disability. And I do live alone. There were a couple of items that I could really use, but the one I need the most is the walker with the seat. I need to start going to the food bank due to my financial situation. But I have been unable to go because the line starts about an hour before they open. I cannot stand that long due to my chronic pain and fibromyalgia. I cannot afford to buy one. And it’s impossible, at least for me, to find a used one. I’m sharing all of this because I’m not the only senior citizen who is struggling financially. If you really want to help seniors, you should do some research before dangling your agenda to us who need but can’t afford?? Why didn’t you include some federal resources or other resources that could possibly help with the cost of these items? This video is just an infomercial for many products.
Lol. My insurance covers my Podiatrist every 2 months. He's my automatic toenail clipper. And a delightful person to chat with while he's clipping away.
The prices are stupid expensive. The people who need these the most do not have the income on social security to pay several hundred dollars for one damn item.
@@fightingtosurvive6527 I agree the items linked are ridiculous prices, but here in the UK many, if not most, of these same items are widely available at perfectly reasonable prices from normal everyday shops either brick-and-mortar or online. Other items can often be provided at a discounted cost, or even free of charge for those struggling financially, by contacting various non-profits. Of course if it is medically necessary, government bodies - local or national - will (or should) step in and actually provide, loan or construct things like ramps, raised toilet seats, shower stools and hand rails.
I had a leg lifter given to me after I broke my hip and had to go to a rehab hospital. I used it after I went home and it was fantastic. Very easy to use.
I need the step stool but at $117.00. Thats just robbing older people. I guess these rich people can afford anything you have there but i have to choose to either pay my power bill or eat especially thru the winter.😢
I had to laugh until I cried, everyone I know who owns any of these is under 43. Most are in their 30s repairing their bodies from youthful outrages 😅😂😅😂
Because older people don't need them. I don't need them, but I'm young (76), my mother don't need them (101). But maybe Americans would buy them, they buy anything useless.
Because if they did that one would see how alot of these aids on YT are more for caregivers and alot of the rest are not senior friendly or budget friendly, from a seniors point of view.
Wow. Is there a camera for folks living in an apt bldg? My friend cant see who is asking to be buzzed in. Especially if shes not expecting someone. She lived in a bldg where she could change the channel on her tv. It was wonderful. Not sure what the cost would be for the owner of her bldg. It gave her confidence and protection. No more folks sneaking into the bldg. Thank you
@@bernadettevelasco6323 I live in a block of apartments in the UK, and there is a video entry system. Very useful! I can see and hear anyone who is buzzing me to be let in at the main entrance, but they can't see me - and can only hear me if I choose to let them do so. It is not a new block, but over 50 years old. The video entry system was retrofitted several years ago by the owners.
The little bed rails- look under that bed. They're using bed risers, these are GREAT for creating underbed storage- can fit laundry baskets under the bed if you stack 2, and you don't have to get UP out of bed. Just swing your legs over & your feet slide down an inch to the floor. Feels like when you're leaning on a short wall - not sitting, not standing, so no effort to get up. Have them now & when I get old, should be easier if I'm one of those ppl that have trouble getting up from short things (like that toilet seat idea). Beds are too low.
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I have a quick question: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
The best tool we've ever had for opening jars is called a "Jarkey". It just lifts the lid enough to release the vacuum. Once there is no vacuum holding the lid tight, even arthritic hands can turn the lid. We've had ours well over a decade now and still works a charm. I see they actually make a metal version of them now, but to be honest, our plastic one has never broken or even seemed to have suffered any wear.
@Sine-gl9ly when I got mine in Asdas it wasn’t different colours as such , there was another one the same but it was see through plastic , you know like jelly fish , but I preferred the beige one .
There are likely alternatives out there, but this was helpful to generate ideas. I am 77 and facing mobility issues. I suspect the next few years will produce a plethora of new aids. Thanks.
finally, some body got smart and did not attempt to jamb their products down my "internet throat"!!!!! I ignore web blog and social media advertising because most of it are just scams to for personal data..... wake up seniors....

Great gadgets for those of us getting older, with or without caregiving assistance.
Only if we can afford them…
why did you use young mobile, people to demonstrate. This is not an accurate demo of the gadgets. Very poorly done.
I had a leg lifter given to me after I broke my hip and had to go to a rehab hospital. I used it after I went home and it was fantastic. Very easy to use.
Already have a number of these items; thank you for your channel !
I have the sock aid. I couldn't get socks on without it.

I'm sure you can find cheaper alternatives online with a search?
Cheaper steps tool at home builder stores

So many things to make my life so much easier!
Thank you so much.😊😊😊
Being senior over 65 doesn’t mean to be disabled or need this things .
A lift chair for 1200 bucks is not a "gadget".
It is for Elon.
Why dont you use real older people to demostrate these items?
Was wondering the same thing🤔🤔
Because older people don't need them. I don't need them, but I'm young (76), my mother don't need them (101). But maybe Americans would buy them, they buy anything useless.
Me too g@@jayzee3303
Sadly they've all died.

The heating pad "capelet" is a great gadget. Get a big one that comes down to your waist. It's marvelous for my arthritis.
They put #33 in the bathub backwards!
They did not have 33 backwards. The long part of it is over the tub side so the person can slide into the tub/shower.
I have the transfer bench..... the best👍🏽
Sat on cane chair backwards.

My husband tried the sock aid tool JUNK!
I had the Automatic Jar Opener and it worked very well, but it died after just a few months.
Mine too.

Where's the price for the foldable rollator???
I had one of those jar openers. Did not work very well, expensive and did not last very long.

I just bought that bath mat in Asdas supermarket in uk for £6.00 .
I bought mine in Poundstretcher for £4.99!
@ even better lol 😂.
@@Susan-kd3rv They didn't have any colour choices though, which, IIRC, Asda _did_ have!

Great the two step to get in pr put of cars.
