Having viewed dozens of different videos featuring performances of The Galway Shawl, I've yet to encounter one that tops your, Eilis. The instrumental contributions by Ms. Kelly and Mr. Farley are spot on. The entire performance is superb!

I really wanted this for my wedding but my band told me it was inappropriate lol so we went for pretty Irish girl from Darby o Gill but this is one of my all time favourite, you defo all done that song so much justice I've heard many versions I think this is one of my favourite
No, the song is not about dying. It is a love song. However, the singer leaves the girl at the end because he has to move on. So maybe that's why it's not perfect for a wedding...
