Great video, Jordan! I'm forever on the fence about whether to combine wallet & planner functions, or separate them. I agree that the Malden is one of the best Filofaxes for this purpose. I've typically used mine that way.
Thank you for this video, I just bought a Malden and coming in tomorrow hoping to downsize my planner & wallet into one. this helped!!! and a firearms permit...yay got my vote again!!! ;)
Hi Ju La! I do carry cards in the back side of one of the inserts - right now I just don't have that many cards I need to carry! I like to keep them single sided whenever possible so that the card slots don't get all stretched out!
Thanks, Krista! The pen loop is from Staples - it was only $1.99! I also got the purple 05 FriXion in a six pack of colors at Staples, but if you don't have one near you I know you can order them from Jet Pens!
Hi Lori, I have some of the cards registered, but some either can't be registered or I just choose not to. If I really run out of space I may reconsider! Also, a few of them are credit cards I don't use as often or additional IDs, so they live in there as well!
Also, with some cards if you put them back to back and they have magnetic strips it can mess the card up, so it won't read right.....I just know that because it happened to me. Great video, though, Jordan! Thanks for sharing!
Love the video! I use the A5 size because I carry not only my information and cards but the ones for my children as well. I have two questions for you: 1. where did you find the extra pen loop? and 2. (most important for me) Where did you find the purple pilot frixion .05? I have been in a 50 mile radius of my small upstate NY town looking for them! I love using them in my planner because they don't bleed threw and if I mess up I can just erase it. I have been to 15 different stores. PLEASE HELP
Hi Jordan! Quick question: why don't you use the the backside slots of the CC holders, so that you can carry 6 cards (3 on front, 3 on back)? I'm very much looking forward to your new setup video!!!!!
I too use my Malden as my wallet. The setup is similar to yours except that I put in an account register, billpay tracker, and cash envelope system. But I wanted to ask you where you got that adorable little greenish folder. It's the one right before your diary section. Too cute.
If you mean the ones with coupons in them, it's from Staples! I think they're made by Dayrunner. The greenish polka dot page is just a piece of scrapbook paper on a divider!

Thanks, Sharon! I'm glad your combo is working as well!!!
Love this! I also use my personal Malden as a wallet/planner. Best move I ever made!
Thanks for the shout out and for inspiring me to give this a try! :)

This is exactly what I've had in my brain for my wallet. A purple personal Malden. Now if I can just find it! I've been going crazy trying. TFS. : )

Hi MrLammmbda! Nope, I haven't noticed any denting - my cover page is just a top opening envelope so it's pretty sturdy!

Hi Veronica! This is a Filofax Personal Malden in Crimson :)
Does the zipper pull leave a dent on your cover page?
Thank you!
