Javea is twinned with Thiviers , in Dordogne or Périgord Vert where it rains too often. The inhabitants of Thiviers will find in Javea ( or Xàbia in valencian), the sun they don't have and much less rain!

Actually, there are some super independent boutiques and shoe shops. Good home shops in the port and the village. Good place to live on the whole. Pity there are some high buildings though which spoil the landscape. You do need a car if you live here. It takes a long time to get anywhere on the buses.
