Personally I’d put the original VW centre caps back on. The single best thing you can do to improve the golf is remove unsprung weight, those alloys don’t look that light.
He can't remove centre caps he got the wheels ect for free so has to keep the motech ones on
I recall Paul saying one of the main reasons he went for this was for the wheels in comparison with the white one he drove 😂

I’ve got a 16 plate black polo gti with black wheels as well, nightmare to keep clean but when it is clean it looks great 👌🏻 can’t beat nuke spec
Not a fan of those new wheels.......in my eyes they don't blend as part of the car as the original ones. I like the diamond cut finish on the originals. The new wheels are nice close up, but not from a distance in my humble opinion.
Agree, I just swapped the black Pretoria's on my Mk 7.5 R for that reason. Looked good up close black blobs at distsnce. Wetn machined silver similar the silver Pretoria's.

I love the look of the Maxton GTI. Unfortunately I'm STILL waiting on my rear diffuser from them.

the wheels look alright but honestly black on black is so unoriginal now. Zero contrast, there is nothing to look at on the car.
Personally I'm fed up with "Nuke Spec", how about something new for a change?
Stock ride height doesn't looks to bad, but definitely needs a set of exhaust tips.

Black cars look good with bronze or silver wheels. Black wheels don’t photograph well and they show brake dust :(
That M4 is the first time I actually liked the new look front end. It’s crazy what a set of wheels will do to the look of a car. Your Golf is a different car now

Lovely car but those wheels where a massive anti climax
I have 8 GTI and everything u put extra on it, like front splitter or side skirts only makes it less practical for everyday use (getting in and out, crossing over speed bumps etc.) what i think this car is made for at the first place. I also wanted to put some aftermarket lightweight wheels, but by doing that, on the first place car looses value and on the second it looks like boy racers car. So everything from factory is just more suitable for usability and makes perfect balance in appearance.
I think most of what you have mentioned is very true, I’ve kept mine bone stock since getting it, and feel its all round balanced. However I tend to have the urge of changing to akrapovic exhaust tips like the club sportto make the car tasteful without the boy racer look

I think that Aussie GTI comes with crappy 18s. No 19 inch option. No Clubs port either. If you can find one. Golf R is near impossible also. You guys have had the cars for two years before us also. The prices are very ridiculous. Love the look on yours Paul.

I have to be honest the original wheels look a lot better the two tone affect,makes much more of a statement! The new wheels show off to much of the brakes, not a fan of black out spec

It's much more interesting when you focus on more regular cars. I understand it's amazing to own an Lamborghini but there are ways too many that already do stuff with them. I'm back watching your videos because of this GTi car

Nice transformation, ooh the new Nuke, I remember the first one I think it was alongside either the Audi R8 or the first Lamborghini. Only sad thing is I saw a video recently of something that happened a couple weeks ago of an old guy who had a MK8 Golf R being beaten up as he was getting stuff out of his boot and his car got stolen :/ all the modern germans are big targets right now

I really like the standard GTI looks and the wheels you had look fantastic in person. This would work on a Clubsport but not sure it makes sense on a base GTI personally.

Shame you can’t improve dreadful perceived interior quality on Mk8 against Mk7.5 also ridiculous climate slider ...oh VW sort out the screen interface...as a 7.5R driver it’s annoying to get great engine I have to compromise on everyday functionality or buy BMW
