It's a beautiful scene. I would have started the painting, only I ran out of paper. But, I've discovered (mostly by trial and error) a very good method, so I can learn to paint. (I have a limited attention span and I'm impatient, so it's been hard for me). First, I watch your whole video. Then , when I watch it a second time, I make a sketch and put out my supplies (I also plan it out , making changes ,or additions). I have to create my own rendition- which happens naturally anyway. During my The 3rd viewing, I start to paint it ,but in sections ( stopping the video as I go). I find if I rush things during the painting process, then I will make a mistake. So I probably watch your video about 4 times during the process. This forces me to adopt a more patient attitude, it slows me down, and I plan it out more. I've found that when I use this method, I have become a better painter. When I first started I just painted and had no planning whatsoever.. Thanks for your generous Instruction, I have learned a lot from you. France is on my bucket list, it seems fantastic.
Thanks for giving me the belief that I too can paint this. Tried the carrots an the horizontal 8-boat. FUN that itsuddenly transforms into recogniseable shapes...So weird, when that happens .. Thank you for the videos, it really helps with my aniety and depression. Hugs from Norway
