Hi there! Would just like to clarify that the bit when I said Taylor sued Olivia, is also alleged and not actually fully confirmed, the writing credits is all 100% confirmed though :)
yeah Taylor’s team suing makes less sense considering they work under the same label. I think the credits were given as a cya

I think them having a well curated aesthetic is important too. Olivia has a slightly 2000’s pop punk vibe and Sabrina has her lil skirts and gogo boots.

From the days of disney itself I knew that Sabrina is gonna be that pop star, happy that she is recognized. She never rested a day. She acted, danced, produced movies.

I think this era of pop stars, or js music in general, has me hype! I’m excited for the future! I think people like, boygenius, and its respective members, Dua Lipa, and a few others, are gonna be a lot more popular in the future! I’d say, Dua, Sab, and Olivia, are the new pop trio, and, if you wanna extend that group, you could include, Renee Rapp, Holly Humberstone, Beabadoobee, Laufey, and Tate. edit: also Ms. Maisie Peters, her music is so good! (I don’t include Tate in the group, bc she makes a lot more ballads, then she does pop music.) edit: I love how all of them have their own aesthetics, and vibes. Olivia, being teen angst, Sabrina, being that soft pop girlie, Dua being that throwback, Tate being that ballad girlie.
Yes I would’ve definitely included some that you mentioned had they been from America! I’m actually a massive Bea and Laufey fan so can’t believe I didn’t mention them at the start😭
And yes I love how they all have their own style and brands for themself!
Tate’s newest album is mostly pop music inspired by the early 2000’s and 90’s. and a lot more dance music, not as many ballads as her first album.
I wanted to provide a clarity to the Taylor/Olivia drama. I definitely think something shady did happen behind the scenes that lead to Taylor getting that credit. However that is purely based on speculation and we don’t actually have any proof of it. If Taylor had tried to sue Olivia it would be publicly available information that we would definitively know about and nothing has come out about that. I do think Taylor’s team at the very least put pressure on Olivia’s to credit her which I agree is still messed up but it is not as straightforward as her suing her which we would have evidence of.

Also (idk if this is correct) but I have heard that Taylor got 50% of the royalties from deja vu. Even if Olivia was not pressured (which even if it wasn’t by Taylor herself it could have been by the public) Taylor did not say anything about it and just took the writing credit and the money. Which for contrast, Paramore said they were thankful for the credit in Good 4 You but didn’t really think they deserved one. It’s also very strange that she praised Olivia for going #1 with drivers license but never saying anything about guts and the fact that Olivia ( a huge swiftie with lots of money) did not attend the eras tour.

Taylor lip synced to Olivia’s “vampire” at the Grammys in the crowd and there is a crowd video of Olivia blowing her a kiss at the end. There is no drama. People just like to start things for no reason! :(

Loved the video but Taylor didn’t sued Olivia, Olivia and her team decided to give Taylor credits because of the Paramore situation, her team did it so they could avoid future lawsuits and stuff!!! Loved the video tho!!!

I love love love Flo and have seen a lot of the others on my TikTok too (I think I follow Boys World), I did mention GG NewJeans at the start which are definitely the most pop tbh (Flo is more R&B). I was just focusing in on soloists in the video :)

i'm really excited with addison rae honestly, i'm looking forward for her upcoming projects. i think she's gonna bring back the y2k pop star aesthetic, the choreography, the fashion. i think she's going to kill it.
I'm hoping with her blatant Trump support and antiblackness she won't have a successful career outside of Tiktok.
She’s not really very talented to me. Her music is very basic, her voice isn’t good and she just doesn’t seem to be special at all, musically. Just my opinion !

olivia rodrigo - the "taylor swift". because most teens see her as a songwriter with good lyrics and emotionally relate with her music.
madison beer/sabrina carpenter - the "ariana grande". because most fans love them for their vocal abilities, also since their voices are so similar to ari's.
tate mcrae - the "adele". well they kinda look similar, the makeup styles are definitely there. also they both sing in cursive.
natalie jane - the "jessie j". both are very vocally talented with a certain timbre that can be hard to imitate.
lauren spencer smith - the "christina aguilera". since they're both vocally talented and are known for their belts.
ice spice - the "iggy azalea". people definitely know who these two are, but they don't intentionally listen to their music. it's just played everywhere.
victoria justice - the "katy perry". their voices are so similar! victoria just has that early 2000s pop vibe in her voice and thanks to her work on victorious, she achieves that similar tone and sense of music.
dua lipa - the "rihanna". well i mean both their songs are played in the malls a LOT.
nessa barrett/jessie murph - the "billie eilish"/"dove cameron". these singers tend to use their lower register a bit more and have a similar timbre.
with how much praise her styling and performances get, i would say that sabrina is loved for more than just her vocal abilities.
Adele does NOT sing in cursive. She’s just British. Tate McRae does bc she has an american/Canadian accent so she COULD sing clearly but chooses not to for weird stylistic choices. Adele just has an accent but it’s not on purpose.

Yeah, they're definitely not as popular as Olivia, but I think they're gradually developing a larger fan base.
as of now, tate's not very big international but she's rising fast (again) so if her team plays the right cards she definitely can be. also statistically and quantitively, asia is sabrina's biggest market and latam is in her top 3 biggest markets so she definitely has a good sized international fanbase. europe has been her weakest but feather has been smashing in the u.k. and some of her other songs were charting as well so i think she'll get there in europe with some good promotion.

However like I was saying I chose artists that have rose/are rising to fame in that past 2/3 years, Billie & Doja were both before that, and I defo agree Olivia is established but I think she is definitely still rising and that her tour venues will continue to increase size hence why I put her first on the list as she is the biggest :)

Just clearing a few things up as someone who's been a Sabrina fan for years: Nonsense actually began gaining traction in 2022 as result of videos of the outros from her Emails I Can't Send tour going viral, which is why it made its hot 100 debut in January 2023, a few months into the tour's run.
Feather actually began getting recognition before she performed at 5 (yes, just 5) eras shows. It had already become her 2nd most streamed song on Spotify behind Nonsense, and that's all to her own credit, not Taylor's. Nonsense was already platinum before she stepped foot on her tour after all.
Lastly, Sabrina was a victim of a TikTok hate campaign, and you can still see the hate videos about her upon searching her name on the app. That's why I'm hesitant to give them any credit for her videos, which already have millions of views on TH-cam, Instagram, and Twitter, gaining popularity. They hated her far too much to be given that much credit for her gaining popularity.

As a Canadian the "close enough" comments are not cool. Canada has it's own very proud and unique culture to the USA.
I get what you were attempting to say, she lives in LA and her music is produced in the USA, and is backed by American industry.
But Tate McRae herself gives a lot of specifically Canadian culture references in her music videos. The Calgary Tower in you broke me first. The Canadian flag in the stairs in greedy, along with the entire video being themed around hockey. She goes out of her way to not be lumped in to the American pop stars label.
