As a kotlin backend developer I am really excited how kotlin js is somewhat becoming something actually feasible to use. It´s still suffering of many newborn diseases, but seeing it becoming something that is not just a really obscure experiment makes me happy.
I have no clue why some are so obsessed with preventing to program in JS/TS, waste of time and energy since JS/TS are very simple and elegant languages which have anything you need.
Well, JavaScript has everything you need. Why use TypeScript then? Because languages aren't born equal. Java/Kotlin is much more mature and well-thought.
