I wasn't into his music, but after his first few really big hits, I understood the appeal and I had seen a few things by then that showed he had talent and wasn't just a pretty face. At that time the bieber-hate meme was in full swing. It seemed you had to love him, or hate him. I hated him, because I was young and followed my friend groups opinion. I remember saying to my friends something like "I don't like his music, but he is ridiculously famous, he's either gonna crash and burn like Britney, or he'll become the new Justin Timberlake and everyone will want him".
It wasn't until I heard him on "Deja Vu" with Post Malone, that I even paid attention to him again (besides all the times his actions made the news). Then I saw more and i'm really starting to like where his music is heading. A few of his songs I had heard on the radio a lot and hadn't realised it was Beiber. These days I have no worries admitting, and defending being a fan. To be as famous as he is, probably the most famous person to ever exist so far, and still be so humble and grounded is an absolute testament to the people that were\are closest to him, his parents and family, and obviously himself. Many many people have come undone with a lot less on their shoulders. He's 27 next year. So hopefully those people wrap the mofo in bubble wrap. Would be very sad if he was to become a member of that club.
