- Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon are both champion racing games, the former depicting accessible, realistic simulation racing with the latter providing a more casual experience, freewheeling through open world vistas.
Both variations possess excellent driving mechanics, and as the series has progressed it's steadily been incorporating unique career play modes, social interaction, and deep vehicle customization, whilst frequently being a leader in immense graphics.
Ranking all Forza titles might seem a little counterintuitive given the distinct experiences that Motorsport and Horizon bring to the table, but alas here we are. There’s enough connection between the two games to warrant a ranking list, but just to be clear, all Forza games are good. There’s not a dud entry in the entire series.
Really!? FH4 the worst FH game!? You gotta be smoking something unreal... FH5 is undoubtedly the worst game in the series. Have you even played these games? Or just googled for a list?

The Horizon games for me from best to worst
Forza Horizon 4(For me the Weather system was unreal)
Forza Horizon (the 1st of its kind)
Forza Horizon 5 (The best visually and its not close)
Forza Forizon 3 (this had a nice balanced map)
Forza Horizon 2 (if the Fast & Furious features were in the main game this list would be different they need to bring the Fast & Furious features back to Horizon)

For me, Horizon parts 1-3 are almost on a par. They all had something special in their own way. But after that it went steeply downhill. With the sad low point of Horizon 5.
FH2 was the worst in history for me

IMO FM4 is one of the best racing games on console. Absolutely loved it.
Jeremy Clarkson's car presentations were epic and also amazing soundtrack.

At the beginning you say that the earlier Forza Horizons had more to offer in terms of festival atmosphere and less focus on wheelspins. Still, Horizon 5 is at the top of your list. I can't take that seriously.
Forza Motorsport 6 was the only game I bought that made me feel proud about buying it. Classics aside
Motorsport 2 is worth buying for the soundtrack. I spent hours in the paint editor listening to the tracks. Motorsport 4 was the best of them. Top Gear the game when Top Gear was still good.
To be honest, people hate too much on forza 4 and 5, they are both amazing games, they 100percent should be around the same rating wise, because we all know that Forza 2 was the best for its time
For me the nostalgia of fh2 makes it my favorite but I understand how fh3 can be considered and overall better, my ranking would be fh2-fh3-fh4-fh1-fh5. Loved 2 and 3 4 was fun but I agree the map is a little bland and fh1 is a classic but was like a beginning to an era. Fh5 over complicated the game and had to short of a story as I finished almost all of the races in a week. I understand the appreciation for fh3 as it was great but fh2 will hold a special place in my heart
in my opinion i think forza horizon 4 was my favorite mainly because of the seasons and how much fun i had with the sweet fortune island dlc.

If I was any of the big 3, Nintendo, Microsoft or Sony I would not allow any of my games have anything released on mobile. It is a distraction from making the games better for the consoles and denigrates the prestige of important franchises. If these companies are interested in doing anything for mobile it should be completely separate from anything to do with any console series.
Forza Horizon 3 is my personal favorite.
Forza Horizon 1 and 2 in my opinion are the best in the horizon series. In the motorsport series is Forza Motorsport 3 and 4. Horizon 5 is the worst, Why is it the best???? Its i=updates are trash and Forza Horizon 5 is EVEN WORSE than Forza Horizon 4. This is my opinion.

FH5 may be a great game, but I wouldn't have called it the best in the series. It's too easy to progress due to the abundant wheelspins and, while the map is huge, it doesn't have the charm of earlier Horizon games.
Being easy to progress isn’t bad, most games used to have slow progression but some people don’t take a horizon game that seriously.
Horizon 4, 3, and 2 had the same issues….
I remember having a blast with Forza Motorsport 2. While Sony couldnt get out of their own way taking forever to release the next Gran Turismo games Forza 2 satisfied that racing itch on the 360 and did it well. Several moons later I got Forza Motorsport 6 with my Xbox One S and it was ok. I didn't like that there weren't any real championship modes. It didn't matter if you won races or not as you would progress anyway. It just felt hollow after a while. Never cared for the Horizon games. Too arcadey for my tastes. It's a good series. Nice list.

The Horizon games need bigger cities. The cities all feel like dollhouses.
A real Forza fan would have put Horizon 3 in the top spot, and Horizon 5 where you put Horizon 4! 🤣😂 Literally the majority of the Forza community rates FH3 higher than FH5. 🙈

Forza Horizon 5 is better than 3, from a critical perspective. The map may not suit everyone’s taste, but it is larger, more varied, and more changes in elevation, whereas Horizon 3s had barely had any, and the car sounds have improved massively. Horizon 5 brings the Event Lab, the most innovative thing that they have ever done with the series. What has Horizon 3 done? Body kits??
And Horizon 5 has more stuff to do and more freedom of choice has live service updates to make the game better.

Forza horizon 3 isnt available on the xbox store for some reason and I have a series S.
It was delisted from the online store at the end of August. I bought a physical copy, and it works fine. You can t download online features like dlc cars, treasure maps, etc. Just the vanilla game on disc.
Forza Motorsports 4 and Forza Horizon 4 are the best in the franchises. Something magical about the number 4 I guess

The first "open world" racing game was Test Drive Unlimited, they pen the horizon.

Forza Motorsport 2023: ABYSMAL! Utterly Unfit for Sale!
Forza Customs: Utter Garbage.
Forza Street: Garbage!
Forza Motorsport 5: Terrible! absolutely Bare bones, but at least fit for Sale.
Forza Horizon 1: Not my Cup of Tea at all, Did not like it much Personally, but I saw the Appeal.
Forza Motorsport 2005: Pretty Solid Beginnings. Good.
Forza Motorsport 2: a Very Solid Upgrade from FM1. Very Good.
Forza Motorsport 6: a Good Solid Game, but, still a massive step down from FM4.
Forza Horizon 5: ABYSMAL for a Year, now Firing on all Cylinders and becoming a Great (not just Good, Great, better than Good!) Game now Torben Ellert has replaced the utterly incompetent Mike Brown.
Forza Motorsport 7: Once they removed the Lootbox Gambling, and got the Bugs out, it became a Great Game, that is vastly better than its own Sequel...but held back a bit by its very Rough Beginnings.
Forza Horizon 4: So Variable, Great when it was Great due to being mostly made under Ralph Fulton, Awful when it wasn't due to the Ruinous Influence of Mike Brown, but more Great than Not!
Forza Motorsport 3: Legendary.
Forza Horizon 3: Exceptional.
Forza Motorsport 4: Masterpiece.
Forza Horizon 2 Xbox One: Absolute Masterpiece.
Meh haven't purchased a racing game since forza 4, but my next racing game is test drive solar crown since i loved the older ones.
I just hope it makes us earn the super cars and build are garage up over time.
FH5 is the worst in the Horizon series.
FH5 on Xbox One has this unbearable blue filter in cockpit view, makes everything look shitty, made me stop playing the game.

Unfortunately Most forza games become unbuyable on Microsoft store digitally after like 2 years after being obsolete, this applied to Horizon 1 to 3 (i assume 2 because i cant even find it on the store anymore) and motorsport 5 and below, if im not wrong some older motorsports like 3 might not even be playable on next gen
I really liked Forza 3 but the necessity to do a good tuning of your car killed me. Every player I met told me they had a friend that helped them to tune their cars well, lol. Or that they downloaded the car. I'm sorry, but the reason I would play a GT/Forza game is to buy, tune, paint my own cars, not to use somebody's elses. Doesn't interest me.
And everyone was driving the Golf in C Class. Or should I say, always the top tier in its category. I wanted to enjoy my tuned RX8 but it couldn't stand a chance. Wether it is reallistic or not, it didn't look fun to feel forced to drive a car I don't like just to stay afloat online.
I also never understood how could people drive without the different assistances. They prevent your car from drifting and therefore are supposed to help you save time, but all good players de-activated them. I never understood why and how they could succeed without them too.
I guess I didn't have the mentality for this game. It felt elitist but it definitely was a great game that I did enjoy.
I still feel a bit of regret for not going further into this game and completing its endurance events. It looked like the ultimate challenge, one per class.
How was FH3 number two? FH3 should be at number 1 cuz it's way better than FH5 and looks more good! I'M SHOCKED THAT IT'S NOT AT 1... 😳😱

Horizon is to Motorsport what Splatoon is to Battlefield 4, flashy, colourful rubbish.
The Forza Motorsport series especially Motorsport 4 was the best in the franchise. As for Forza Horizon series, I really hated it.

BLASPHEMY!!!🤬 FORZA MOTORSPORT 4 is by far the BEST Forza! Man, I don't know anyone that really likes FH5 after the initial hype from release. I think the visuals are way overrated due to so much detail and tree pop-in as you drive. Horizon kinda lost me once they allowed supercars offroad. It's just stupid, like the last few Fast & Furious movies.

@@benn87 “Open wasteland” is an exaggeration. There’s jungles, beaches, deserts, rocky coasts, arid hills, canyons, farmland, swamps, and mountain drifting.
There’s plenty of activities like Event Lab, the festival playlist, Horizon Arcade, Accolades, Horizon Stories, Horizon Super 7, The Eliminator, etc.
It’s like you just played the game for 10 minutes and stopped.

Forza Horizon 4 in 2024 still the BEST FORZA HORIZON game.
10:35 - Make the open world not completely dead. That would draw me in. If it wasn't just some numbskull standing next to a slot machine getting free rewards and instead had people you could interact with in some way, that would be great. If they put me in charge of the series, I would let you get out of the car at certain locations and walk around, have a huge open world where there are tons of different dealerships, garages, tuners, you name it, and you would have to interact with those people to make the best version of a car.
