The acting in this show is so absolutely amazing. Love this episode. Ken is completely screwed, Connor wants to be El Presidente, Roman contributed to a satellite blowing up, and Shiv won a husband she doesn't even really want.
Shiv used the cruises thing to get her dad to broker the deal with Gil. She didn't actually use it against him or tell Gil so no, she's not really being a hypocrite, she's protecting her family AND helping Gil. Also lol at Marcia for slut shaming anybody when she clearly uses her womanhood to her advantage too. In my honest opinion, I don't think Logan would have actually sold out Kendall because he's his son but also that would ruin the whole family. He knows Kendall is a soft boi and can be manipulated that way. I think if Kendall was some super hard ass who was low key a sociopath and did not give AF, Logan would respect him more. The biggest issue is that Logan has no respect for Kendall whatsoever. Anyway, season 2 is my favorite.

I’m so happy y’all are about to start season 2. It’s my favorite season. Shiv dropping that bomb on Tom on their wedding night made my jaw drop. Who does that? Logan completely owns Kendall now. Ken’s self destruction is painful to watch. Roman being responsible for a satellite exploding is too bizarre. Connor thinking he can be president is just a whole new level of delusions of grandeur. This was probably one of the best frost season finales from the destruction of Kendall’s life slowly by drug addiction leading to the death of that boy and his father reconciling with him because if arguably the destruction nhs caused downright poetic loving these reactions
Not even that, it would be more the equivalent if that one guy at the libertarian presidential debate who was arguing against driver’s licenses went up to bernie to debate him on the tyranny of age of consent laws

But then as soon as Ken started crying he knew and used it to his advantage and as a way to manipulate him. So in a weird way it was Kendall having empathy and a conscience that fucked him over here.
The hug Logan gives Kendall at the end of the episode makes me physically sick every time I watch it. Watching this episode back makes me realize that the car crash and death of that waiter is the end result of a butterfly effect that started by Kendall foolishly telling Frank about the bear hug. Kendall tells Frank > Frank tells Gerri > Outsiders catch wind of the plan > Bear hug suddenly has to be accelerated before news spreads further > Kendall Tells Logan > Logan is extra irritable and lashes out at the waiter while Stewy and Ken are celebrating with coke > Waiter gets kicked out and Ken wants more coke > The rest is history If Logan either didn't run into that waiter or Kendall just didn't do any more coke that night, the wedding likely would've ended relatively uneventfully.
I've watched this show like 10 times now and one of Kendall's weaknesses is trusting people when he shouldn't. Trusting Roman and Stewy at the board vote. Trusting Frank here (which despite people acting like it's a stupid thing to do, Frank is literally his Godfather), and there are other instances but obviously I won't spoil them for the guys. But yeah, there's definitely this pattern of Ken trusting people and then those same people fucking him over.
The actor that plays Kendall is so good omggg. His relationship with his father is so toxic, I felt the emotion at the end scene. I feel so bad for him.

Though I guess you could argue Logan brute forced his way to victory, which is what he does. He screamed and fired the waiter and emotionally fucked Kendall until he needed drugs. Maybe it was fate, or maybe Logan has such a force of personality that fate bends to suit him.

I am pretty sure that Ken was not sober, though, so he shouldn’t have been driving in the first place. He is definitely not NOT guilty, but would it be considered a murder?

Kendall is a grown man. His relapse is on him and him alone. That kid died because he chose to indulge in his addiction. Logan is evil but Kendall is the only one to blame when it comes to his decisions and actions. He could have chosen to prove everyone, including Logan, wrong when those rumors were spread and NOT relapse. and he would probably be taking over the company. But he chose to relapse and put bad behaviors above being a good man and businessman. That's life. He proved Logan right. He proved that he is too weak minded to run the company. He's emotional, reactive, impulsive, irresponsible, and soft. Logan is evil but he's a better businessman - unfortunately.
Objectively, yes. But if you've watched the show then you know that every decision these kids have ever made ties back to Logan. "What would dad do?", "what would dad want?" or "how can I get back at dad?" are the only thoughts Kendall, Shiv and Roy are capable of having when they make decisions. That's how Logan raised them.
