The Bills vs. 49ers was the first game without a punt. Steve Young passed for 449 yards with Jerry Rice (3 catches, 26 yards) knocked of out of the game.
Steve Young was lights out the MVP in 1992. Barry Foster received slightly more votes than Emmitt Smith, which I do not understand. Smith led in total yds and TD's. Thurman had similar numbers as 1991 MVP campaign and shouldve been with the other two, if not better than Foster. MVP should mean most valuable to the team. Bills could've survived without TT. Steelers and 49ers needed the production from Foster and Young to win.
I think the Raiders caught the Bills at the right moment, coming off that rough Miami game. And the Raiders had come off their first win of the year. 1992 Raiders were a strange 6-10 team. Early on, close losses. Later on, blowout losses. Had some decent wins despite the bad record (beat Denver and KC at home, shocked Washington in the last RFK game for Gibbs)
Had more to do with 2 things. First traveling East to West for the game and 2nd, the 92 Bills were streaky, they lost to the Colts and Jets, too in 92.
Iconic endzones, uniforms and team. Wish they brought back those helmets and added more red to the end zones

Amazing that the worst team the Raiders had from 1990-1993 smoked Buffalo, but couldn't beat them when it counted in three playoff seasons.
Seriously. Only Marinovich could beat them!

Jeff Hostetler beat the Bills in 1993 regular season.
Jim kelly made 2nd team all pro, over dan marino and Troy aikman, who both had better stats
