A very well done tutorial. Right now I'm working on the helmet and I'm having a bit of trouble. Because I got the field, Jersey and Pants to work but no the helmet. Is there any advice before I asked in the discord? I posted the time marks below for different parts in the video. Thank you again.

So yes the helmet has been giving people issues i just learned of this about a day later on what is needed to do. So i noticed in the game on some teams you are unable to change the base helmet so i would first try to change an alternate helmet if the team you are using has one. (While making the tutorial i never knew about this issue lol)
1 ) IF That does NOT WORK You are going to have to locate the qkl_patch I believe (don’t hold me to this) that the pathway is dev_hdd0/game/BLUS31159/USRDIR/DLC - Then you should see a qkl_patch.edat , -
2 ) Youll need to download an app called ( True Ancestors ) to decrypt to a .dat file (Google True Ancestors decrypt program for download) -
3 ) Once you have that app downloaded, Move your qkl_patch.edt file thats in your DLC folder into the True ancestors (edat) folder which will make sense when you see it.
After you moved the file over you will want to go on the True Ancestor app (Make sure you have Java installed latest version) You will want to run the decrypt to dat option ( Cant remember excatly the wording)
4 ) Then another page will open and will take a minute to decrypt the file. You will get a this was successful message when its done. -
5 ) Then your new file will be in your edat folder. Rename / remove the .dat at the end and make sure its just .ast then move it into your DLC Folder. (Make a copy of your existing one just in case.
Now.. After doing this i STILL had issues replacing the Michigan helmets and i have NO IDEA why. Definitely try to replace a alternate helmet if the mains dont work. Also i would still reach out to the people in the discord if you are still having issues when it comes to helmets because i am not an expert lol

how do you navigate the spreadsheat? Like do the numbers on the left correspond to the numbers on the right ?
@@d0nn. if u are still having trouble with it I found a way to do it, look at the part of the spreadsheet and behind the .ast there should be a number for example 56e then you would go to where it says qmbs and find that number extract it and if u want for clarification the number of the file on excel for example 417 will show up behind .ast when in ur files

As far as descriptions just get the excel sheet and it can be open in the background while you scroll through the ast editor
Having a problem. When I load into ncaa 14 and on the exhibition mode when I go to the team I replaced and try to start a game, it just sits on loading home team but the game isn’t frozen
Must have messed something up. Just re save the copy version over the files in your game save folder. That will give you a fresh start.

man love the tuturial and made assests for SFA to replace UTEP and only did the field, home pants, home jersey, home helemet, logo. but whenever i try to play the game launches and then crashes. do you reccomend and other schools i can try besides Utep. i would like a non-power 5 texas school.

Your turorial has been tons of help. However- im trying to replace san jose st and when ever i export their fields, jerseys, helmets etc they do not show any dds files to export and theyre almost always for the wrong team. Can you help me bro??

My AST editor doesn't have any descriptions for what team the data belongs too
When i click on the load fe2ig descriptions nothing happens for me. Im not sure why no descriptions are showing up when i click that.
I know this is 7 months later.... but I am having the same issue. I downloaded the excel spread sheet but I am lost on how to navigate it and match it up with whats on the AST. If you have any tips it would be appreciated!
@@rupelujan657 I am having to use the updated Excel sheet to navigate to know which file is which that you get from the Discord server. It lists the AST number followed by what the name is on the Excel sheet and there's several categories within the Excel sheet to keep it organized. That's what I've been doing up to this point since the descriptions in the Asta editor don't want to load
when i try to edit the uniforms it comes up as one solid color and doesnt have a transparent background like yours i have installed the pluggin and when i went to channel and pressed alpha it juts makes the whole image have a red tint

Everything works for me, but the scorebug won't update to my new team. I replaced Hawai'i, but it still shows them on the bottom for the score. Any ideas why that happens or how to fix it?

Yea, I know you can load the DDS Alpha channel and then just paint over the logos. But I’m not even 100% sure on the best way to do the helmets I just know what works for me. Tbh I don’t quite understand how the Alpha channels work on the helmet I just know if you load your dds alpha channel you can paint over it lol .
Go to channels and delete it.
Still stuck on the AST Editor step, nothing shows up and I had to redownload the game twice.
It still looks really complicated. How long would it take to download all this as well as create the new Conference USA teams (Liberty, Jacksonville State, Sam Houston State, and Kennesaw State) as well as keep the teams that will be in the new Conference USA?
Great tutorial, and most things worked, but i cannot for the life of me get my field to load. Everything (Jersey, Pants, Logos, Stadium Assets, Helmets, Etc.) else loaded perfectly fine, but the field will simply NOT work. It stays as the base field no matter what. Ive already decrypted my QKL_Patch and added it in there, I've added the field to my FE2IG, ive added it EVERYWHERE, yet it doesn't work.
Thats wild!! Not really sure what to suggest if you have tried all of that. .... Might wanna ask around in the discord.
@@TRIGGAx Figured it out! For old dominion, the field was in the Patch file #33 instead of being in the FE2IG. Its fixed and working fine now : D

2 questions
1. I load into play now and my game will crash within a few seconds of me running the kickoff not sure if its my settings or and issue with my team?
2. I change to my team name in the editor for all 3 name spots and it till shows temple the team i was switching out for in game

So unfortunately I don’t have any of those team files HOWEVER my discord is almost finished and in there it will have a section for all Tutorials & recourses. So if I ever create another team they will be uploaded all in one section. But for every mod & everything I use in CFB revamped I will upload to the discord channel 😊 all in one lol

🤔 Like nothing is loading in?! Make sure you’re editing the current up to date FE2IG file if you did any updates to your cfb revamped game. Also make sure on the final step you are loading up the Backup FE2IG, Replace all items, then save as FE2IG that’s in your ps3 folder..
The only issue I’ve had is with some current helmets which there’s a whole thing you gotta do. But since nothing is working you prolly just missing a step.

@@TRIGGAx its a bit weird I did multiple jerseys and only one loaded in and also one pair of pants. The field loaded in as well. I might just start from scratch. Any ideas how to “reset to default “ ?

Like A second Section of “back up, Part 1, part 2, Part 3, Etc,,, for the away uniforms ?
Or do you Add all Uniform variations to the single Original section of folders and sub-folders
Yea that’s what I would do if I wanted to add in alternates. Part 1 Alt folder, and do the same process
I don't know if it is just mine but when I do the ea db editor and put everything in the same way you do, my name and colors do not update in game for my team and I followed it step by step. Has anyone else had this problem and was there a fix? or maybe it was the school I chose? I chose the Charlotte 49ers. Thanks in advance for any input.
Just under 10 minutes in... you should always have an original back up as well untouched... I know you can just reinstall the game but the quickest and easiest way is to have previous version backups and an original file backup
Would you happen to have a tutorial on what to do when there is a new version of revamped ? If I install the new version without doing anything won’t I lose any created team data I have in there ??
Yea. You’ll be fine. I just upgraded. You MAY have to re load all your ast files back on the FE2IG. So update your game, grab the new FE2IG , make a copy of it, re put in your assets then save it as new ps3 FE2IG lol

Hey man, couple things. 1, great tutorial. I feel that some teams don't work necessarily for all customizations. I modded Nevada and there's only 1 helmet file, but ingame they have 3 different helmets and my custom helmet doesn't pop up after replacing the ONE helmet AST that's in the fe2ig.
2, any reason the in-game scoreboard still shows Nevada's name and logo? I followed your steps and have everything to a T but the scoreboard at the bottom of the screen doesn't change for my team name/ logo. Any thoughts?
Yea so with the newer versions of the CFB revamped there’s additional steps that I wasn’t aware of when I made this. Go check out the discord or search TH-cam “CFB REVAMPED SCOREBOARD BUG “ And you’ll see a tutorial. Also some of the helmets are in the dlc patch folder. Honestly I’d check out the CFB revamped discord they should be able to help

I have a question about the field. Ok so when you go to save it you need DDS to save it but the link wont let me download it, When i click Win for windows it does nothing

Cool. But how do you add uniforms beyond what the base team has? Example: Old Dominion has 2 helmets in the vanilla game, but Revamped gave them 4 or 5.
Not sure on how you add helmets but if Revamped has 4or5 you can go into the Qkl_Patch AST and you’ll see all the extra helmets and you can edit those

@@TRIGGAx I guess we'll see with V18 coming out in a few weeks and hopefully that will fix the scoreboard. But we'll see. I'm looking forward to the game but at the same time with the history of Madden, my expectations are kind of eh.
@@TRIGGAx I fixed the scoreboard. Kind of. I got the logo on but not the color, even though I change the UDBC to 1 in the DB Editor for the crowd, cheerleaders, etc... I know it's a bit of a nit pick but until V18 comes out, this is probably the best. Thank you again.

Do you have any tips for how to create just custom uniforms? I've got the team I want, I just want to add some depth to their uniforms.
Yea it’s the same way to edit an existing Jersey. Just extract it. Edit the existing. Save it as a new file in part 4.

@@KolbyVanCamp No problem! You have to use the teams uniforms that are available. I don’t know anything about creating a new section / uniform slot. All I know is what ever is there and available to edit you can edit those.

My logo shows up for the team I replaced, but when I filter through the uniform options, either nothing has changed or it freezes the game. Did I do something wrong?
Yea if the game is freezing / crashing you must have gotten a step wrong.
I did everything step by step, but when I try to change the jersey in game, it freezes. Any tips?
Yea must have messed something up in the Jersey file. Make sure you open the Jersey file in part one, replace with what you made, Save as a new file in part 4.
When you load the FE2IG it has to be a backup one. Then put in your part 4 Jersey. Then save the FE2IG over top of the ps3 folder one…
Typically if it freezes you messed something up with the Jersey file. I’d also recommend joining the CFB revamped discord and asking in there if you continue to have problems.
I changed all the team name stuff but the old team mascot name still shows up
hey does anyone have a fix for the ast editor getting the descriptions besides uninstalling and reinstalling the game
Go into the drive folder with everything else and there’s an organized excel sheet with the descriptions and AST numbers.
Whenever I open a transparent DDS file in Photoshop to edit (stadium asset, uniform, etc.) it doesn't load as a transparent image and it makes it extremely difficult to edit and I'm not sure if it's going to load right in the game? Is there something I'm doing wrong or missed?
Make sure you install the DDS plugin into Photoshop. You should get the option to open as Alpha or not
I know this is late but I am going through this process rn and I had then same problem. In my case I was only using the regular DDS plugin but when I downloaded the IntelWorks DDS I loaded the jersey file into photoshop and I got prompted with two checkboxes. I left both unchecked and I had the transparent background

Just re open your backup fe2ig and save as the fe2ig in your game files. Should revert everything.

So I am having a issue when I go into the ast editor the file loads but when I go to tools and load the fe2ig it’s not loading and suggestions??
having the same issue, tried reinstalling AST, CFR mod, and the game itself.
Well I made everything but my helmets didn’t load in like yours did. So I switched over to Rutgers and re added everything but now my game won’t load past the main menu. I just copied over my jerseys and numbers from what was navy to Rutgers. Would I have to edit rutgers numbers themselves for it to work? Or do I have to redownlod the whole game?
Just reload the copy of the fe2ig over the one in your ps3 files to start over. For the helmets your gonna have to encrypt it by using true ancestory. This is a newer step. It’s in the CFB revamped discord (instructions) on how to do it. Not too bad.

Well the first thing you should have done is make a backup file of the fe2ig, and only worked out of that….. So you would reload the backup then overwrite the one in your game files
@@TRIGGAx I did make a backup, but then once everything was built I copied it onto the back up and then directly into the game. Is that backup now corrupt forever or am I able to redo everything on there? If not I’ll probably have to download the entire game again right?
Your backup file should be a copy of your original one. So if you open up your backup with your ast editor then save as the one in your game files that should reset the game as if you made no changes
Now if you ruined the backup by saving your incorrect items on it then you may have to just re install the game. Which I would suggest just delete your game from the rsp3 folder then just drag and drop it back in. Shouldn’t be too hard.
But try to just open up the copy first and save as the main fe2ig and see if that works.

@@dustyceltics0gamingchannel You gotta save 141 in its own thing into the part 4 folder. If you open up the 141 in part 1 it will always be the normal ones in the game.

How’d you get the scoreboard to have SFA and the logo? I cant seem to figure out how to change the in game scoreboard at the bottom.
SFA can be changed in the EA DB Editor tool 2.0! Should be in the mod tools in the description. All youll do is load the config that comes with it (Dynasty config) open your dynasty USR - DATA, find your team name and change the abbriviation from whatever it was / team you are replacing. The Logo? Thats also in the video, 37:47 is where i change the logo. but MAKE SURE you go into your ps3 hdd folder and make a copy of the qkl_interface first. I would explain in text but yea 37:47
@@TRIGGAx I’ve gone into the DB editor and changed my team name but when I go into the game ( I replaced Cincinnati) it still says Cincinnati and not my abbreviations with my team logo on in game scoreboard
@@TRIGGAx I’ve changed all that I’m talking about the scoreboard logo and name. When you’re actually playing and the scoreboard is below your gameplay and tells you the score. Yours says SFA and the logo with your score I’m not sure where to find that in the editor to change mine from Cincinnati to my team
Ahhhh See i think you have a different scoreboard than i do so im really not sure. On my scoreboard i dont have any team logos so thats why i was confused. I would reach out for help in the CFB Revamped discord forsure. I think yours may be the newer version. Could be wrong yea i would just reach out in there.

check the installation path, make sure you have enough space on whatever drive you're trying to install it on. if that's not the issue then your pc does may not meet the minimum requirements for photoshop

Must have messed up a step. To undo. Simply Load your backup FE2IG then save it over the one in your NCAA folder data is.
Quick question, I went and loaded the fe2ig file and that loaded fine, but when I clicked on the "load descriptions options" nothing popped up. How do I fix that? Thanks!
So I had that issue, try re extracting the tool to your desktop, if that doesn’t work there’s a spreadsheet in my description with more accurate numbers for ya
@@TRIGGAx Thanks so much, yea I have a MacBook Pro and am using the parallels software so that I use Microsoft based application such as AST editor and stuff and I think I need to actually extract thru that first, I think I was using the ones I downloaded on Mac. I’ll give that a try and if that doesn’t work Where do I find that spreadsheet again? I appreciate your response my friend

So, Some teams helmets may be in the QKL_PATCH file there's AST Helmets in there. I cant remember what i had to do but check in the discord for help.

No. Just need a flash drive / Computer. May need to use a program called “Brute Force” to save the files I’m not 100% on that I’d go into the discord and take a look at what they say

On the helmet there’s a top left square you change the color of for face mask. I can share the pic with you tomorrow when I get back on

For some reason the scoreboard is still showing the original color and Image. Everything else is working perfectly. Any ideas as to why?

It keeps telling me that photoshop cannot complete the request for the file for loading the field even though its a dds file and ive downloaded the dds editor
You’ve added the DDS plugin into Photoshop ? Might have to look up a video & make sure you did that right.

There’s a file in your ps3, HDD0, DLC, I think in there or it’s in a qkl-patch ast file. Check out the discord if that doesn’t help
