- The IOW Scooter rally has been on August bank holidays since I started going in the early 80's. Mods, Skins, Punks, Rockerbillys, Scooterboys, black, white, brown, it doesn't matter what you're into as long as its great music, scooters, drinking and some good old dancing. Our motley crew paid a visit to the island for a party packed weekend. Thrashing Lambretta's to within an inch of their lives all the way there and back! What could go wrong? Check out my little video and give it a like. While you're at it click the subscribe button and follow my little adventures on Scooter, Snowboards, Mountain bikes... occasionally up a few mountains as well.

Great shots of classic geared scooters. I've had scooters over the years but also bikes which I've moved onto. While I respect why people want twist and go scooters it's the whole two stroke fettling / labour of love / pain in the arse part of geared scooters that I loved. One of my bikes is an old Beemer boxer and when there are various meets, no-one has yet turned up on a Chinese BMW retro (not sure if there is such a thing). Clunky, character originals everytime for me! Safe riding in 2022 mate.
Ahh the good oul Pile of Shite rally, more vans than scooters 😆hope u had a great time
Had a great laugh with my mates 😂😂 thanks for asking.

"This is the green in Ryde, the place to be....apparently". Followed by "Do I Love You". Er....OK. ;-)
Brilliant video. Well done
Thanks
Was A great weekend, the best one in years.
Yes it was!
Russ, One assumes thats a CHT gauge showing and is it under the plug ? If so what sort of temps would you say you need to bear in mind when 'thrashing' your bike to stay on the safe (ish) side ? Also note the thumb choke which I do not have as yet !!
Yeh it’s a temp gauge. As long as it don’t go over 300 degrees C it should be ok. Anymore and the piston will melt
hi mate,
just wondering what the set up is on your lammy?
cheers from adelaide
It’s a Tuned TS1 230cc, 35TMX, Pipedesign exhaust
