I disagree with you. Farid did have power, but he was relying more on his upper body, compared to Kiyuna, who relied on his hips. And his expression was better, despite the squinting eyebrows.
But yes, we're all entitled to our opinion.

Why shito ryu is dominating in kata competition nowdays?

Loco 34 I think shito’s katas are more demonstrative than shotokan’s. They also consider shito is a upper style

In Shito-ryu, there is more kata than shotokan-ryu. The ways of doing kata are different as well. It is easier to practice for kata competition if you have more choice in the kata list of your school, maybe ?

He relies too much on his upper body, no hip movement which makes it look like he lacks speed and power Ryo really users his hips to generate power hence he is more crisp
