This is my favorite song by King George! Great reaction! So proud he is one of our own in Texas! He is the true definition of a Cowboy! Married his high school sweetheart, no scandals, and the ranch footage is his actual ranch. Just love him! Again, great reaction!
King George & his voice is like a warm hug, I love this one because it shows the clips from his early career, as well as his rodeo days. And yes, he does have 60#1 hits. He can make you laugh or cry, he can warm your heart or talk about your broken heart. 'Check yes or no' is a sweet one. 'I saw God today' is great too. He has songs about his rodeo days, like 'Amarillo by morning' or cute ones like 'Write this down'. Soooooo many great songs.
So back in 1987 my girl friend took me to the George Straight, Merle Haggard and Alabama concert. Her mom was the backup singer for Alabama. She took me backstage and Merle asked me what is was doing there and told him it was my last horaah. He said if I am old enough to die for him I am old enough to drink with him. He gave me a shot of jack and I nearly puked, but I stood tall. Needless to say it was a short time after George lost his daughter and I still drink Jack and will never forget listening to George and Merle picking the guitar that night backstage.
King George is a real cowboy. He was the foreman of one of the biggest cattle ranches in Texas before his music career blossomed. At one point, he promised his wife if she would give him one more year trying his hand as a singer, if he hadn't made a success of himself in the music business by then, he'd give it up forever and concentrate on ranching. After 60-some number one hits, we all know how that turned out.
George's daughter Jenifer died at the age of 13 in a car crash, while riding with a friend. She is in this video a clip of him and her by the piano. His son, George, Jr...better known as Bubba will be 43 this year!❤
Hey guy's as you seen George Strait, can really sing a country song, I would like to request another George Strait, song called "WHEN DID YOU STOP LOVING ME" a great traditional country music song THANKS AGAIN.
He's crowned the "King" by his own fans, but there have been others in country music who are referred as the "King" as well.. Such as one of the biggest legends and influencers in the genre, Hank Williams Sr. And also George Jones. I personally don't think of George Strait as the "King".. Sure, he's had more number 1 hits than everyone else, but I don't think you crown someone based off of that. Especially when most of your songs are written by someone else.
Thanks for reacting to this.. Love this George Strait song!!
You can never go wrong with George Strait❤
Anything by George is good! The Chair and The Fireman are 2 of my favorites!!❤❤

George Strait and Willie Nelson are our two state treasures. George turned 71 in May. Still sounds good.

George is one of those artists that always puts out great music.
King George has had over 50 number one hits and is a monster in the country music industry! Another great reaction!
King of country !!! Any George song is great , this is a very good one
He has the most number-one songs, over 60, in music history, regardless of genre or artist. More than Elvis, The Beatles, you name it.
Hes reflecting on his younger years
I love this song! Good choice!
