I think this layered painterly look is great personally. Looks more organic and painterly rather than flat and cartoony. A variety of colours seems more lit by real light instead of a flat 2d symbol. I’d be afraid to spend so much money on them if any were dry as that’s bad. I’d use them with poscas (combination).
Get in touch with the company. Because of the cost and the brand they will replace them. If they want a bad rep they will ignore you but im 100% certain you should get refund or replacement. I actually love the outcome xxxx

Don’t be shocked that you like it! The reason you’re pleasantly surprised is you pushed yourself out of your comfort zone. Had they worked like what you’re used to, you would have recreated the same design in a way out of habit. This is still your style but also unique. It has a lot of textures and movement. I personally prefer when art is a little confusing. I wouldn’t have called it candy land at first glance, it looks like planets to me. Even before the galaxy background I thought that, but I also drew a girl eating a planet as a lollipop before lol. I like it! Keep trying new ideas, tools, concepts, mediums, and color palettes. You’ll be amazed at what you’re capable of:)
I actually like the blending on the stars and the middle pink lollipop, looked very artsy I love it. I think the only thing I don’t like is how streaky the background looked- literally cringed while watching you use the dry markers I had flashbacks to when I used to use dry markers and how annoying they were 😭😭 but ignoring the background I really like this design
Actually, once the frosting snow was added, I really liked the candy trees. The colors and swirls look very pleasing to me. The vague cotton candy style sky was also really making me crave sweets. I feel like this is a picture from the surface of Moriah's home planet.

The moment you stopped comparing them to posca I think is the moment you started letting the art flow and this drawn is, not only an amazing art peace with a media you didn't really knew how to use, it's also a little part of you, a different one from the usual but still as amazing as always. ~

Last year I bought about 6 Karin paint pens having no idea what they were and immediately loved them. I’ve since seen several TH-cam artists reviewing and raving about them. I’m not nearly as talented an artist as you all. I DO appreciate quality art supplies and understand why some are very pricy. All that being said, these are usually very “juicy” and worth the price. You’re so talented and one of my (as well as millions of others’) favorites on here and you should definitely contact Karin about dried up markers you got. ZERO excuse for you to have gotten even one bad marker 😉 You’re too incredibly good for that shite 😘

I would go out and say that she should stop slandering her own artwork but as an artist myself it's really hard to look at something that you've drawn and not pick out every single thing that you hate about it so I completely understand where she's going with I just want to say personally that I think it's freaking gorgeous❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I think every artist should be proud of their work, regardless of skill level. (unless they draw harmful or hateful stuff but lets just talk about us 'normies') Its a hard process to learn to love yourself AND your creations, but anything that has love and effort poured into it deserves to be credited.
Why not customize the boxes? They look quite pretty and with a bit of Gesso you could basically make proper color orders (or just use them for something else).

She's so modest and honest about her art and how the process was, weather she was struggling, taking a lot of time, or if it was really easy. I actually really appreciate that because it shows background to art and gives it more meaning. (The art still turned out beautiful btw) I think we really need more artists like this who can be honest about how it was like for them to make what they did, it's a wonderful trait and shows that Moriah is just a great human being 😭🙏

Personally I actually kinda love the way the artwork turned out, I know not everyone will agree, but that's how art is, it's all about personal preference. i did a quick google, and the original creator of the boardgame (assuming thats what you mean,) is schoolteacher Eleanor Abbott, In 1948, retired schoolteacher Eleanor Abbott invented Candy Land in a San Diego hospital. Abbott had been diagnosed with polio and during her convalescence she was surrounded by children suffering from the same disease. (i copied it off of google to save anyone reading this the problem)

I love this drawing! I have been searching for some markers that work the way these are SUPPOSED to, but those are way to much money for me, and they don’t even work well! I actually really love the contrasting, blended colors of it. It's really striking, and reminds me of like, hyper-colorized art, or Candy lit by differently colored lights. It gives a lot or real depth to the piece! Though it's a far bigger concern that so many of the markers were dry, that's a big issue!

I feel like usually you try to make your artwork look as if everything was planned and everything has an obvious explanation and it's simple and there's nothing wrong with that,, but sometimes you just have to let your heart take over instead of your mind when u do art,, it doesn't have to make sense and you are very talented just that you restrict yourself making art that ''makes sense'' ,, this was an amazing piece and I hope you get to be proud of it :)

To be honest, I absolutely love what you ended up with. It’s very different from your regular style, but I really love the blending of colors that generally aren’t blended together!
I love this drawing! I have been searching for some markers that work the way these are SUPPOSED to, but those are way to much money for me, and they don’t even work well! I was shocked that Moriah kept going and still came out with something gorgeous! I am sure most of us would have quit! Moriah is a true artist for being able to turn any failure into a success! Btw, how in world did this video come out two years ago? I feel like it was yesterday! Anyway, Moriah, I love your art and channel!
I actually really love the contrasting, blended colors of it. It's really striking, and reminds me of like, hyper-colorized art, or Candy lit by differently colored lights. It gives a lot or real depth to the piece!
Though it's a far bigger concern that so many of the markers were dry, that's a big issue!

I feel like usually you try to make your artwork look as if everything was planned and everything has an obvious explanation and it's simple and there's nothing wrong with that,, but sometimes you just have to let your heart take over instead of your mind when u do art,, it doesn't have to make sense and you are very talented just that you restrict yourself making art that ''makes sense'' ,, this was an amazing piece and I hope you get to be proud of it :)
