- Ars Nova Singers perform Bruce Stark's "Wind Song." Recorded in May, 2020 during the global coronavirus pandemic. Presented in honor of all graduates in the Class of 2020, and especially honoring Ashlyn Spanarella, our Ars Nova Singers High School Apprentice for the past two seasons. Ashlyn graduated this month from Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado.
Produced by Thomas Edward Morgan, Artistic Director and Conductor.
Additional audio production by Caley Morgan.
I am the wind, I am alone
No family and no home
I have no color, shape or size
Close your eyes and hear my song
I go everywhere, I know everyone
Under the stars and under the sun
I know the song of clouds and rainbows
I know the cold and dark of night
(refrain)
I know happiness , I know sadness
I know everything must end
When you feel sad and blue
Listen to your friend, the wind

I am unable to stop listening to this God's song - wow - and am sobbing.
oh tears on my face. oh happiness...oh sadness...thank you for this beauty.
Miss you guys!!!
Such a lovely tribute to Class of 2020 graduates, especially given how their worlds have suddenly been so disrupted. Over the 30+ years of hearing Ars Nova perform, "Wind Song" remains as our favorites. Thank you Ars Nova for continuing to bring beauty into our lives.
Thank you ... this was a delightful surprise !!
Stunning and so makes me want to sing along. . . :)
The sweetness of the song is outstanding, as are the voices. Amen.
Thanks for the reply, Amy! It was a fun project to pull together.
This particular piece has to be the most beautifully arranged, sung and - wow. Am crying at the sheer sweetness of these lovely voices. The BEST YET!
This is so beautiful. I am in tears. This piece will play at my father's interment. God Bless. Esp. Elizabeth Foreman for sharing this with me.
Nothing like the the expressive singing of Ars Nova. Thank you for singing with such beauty and heart and for sharing this song.
Thanks, Tina! We'll be inviting alumni to participate in the next one!
Truly a comfort. Thank you for brining us this beauty.
