- This is a silent news film compilation of World War II footage from c. 1942-1943 (Castle Films # 137), depicting battles between the German and Soviet forces in Stalingrad in the Soviet Union; and between the American and Japanese forces in the South Pacific. Intertitles are as follows:
-Stalingrad…Alamo of World War II
-Despite Nazi fury, Stalingrad’s defenders never falter!
-Nazi dive bombers threaten a bridge!
-Russians battle the enemy in street-to-street fighting!
-Winter…Russia’s greatest ally!
-Two Nazi “supermen” run for their lives!
-Women move up under fire to give first aid!
