Probably wouldn't do to well up there. I see why you guys need speed. Everything just falls out from underneath you in Skeg from Ostas videos that I've seen.
IMO stock filters are best for filtration. Exhaust wouldn't do much for this single cylinder and its biggest strength is its torque from its mechanical gear reductions.
Thinking about a p520. I know little about hondas. What would it take to run 32's? I'm thinking control arms, gear reduction, front locker? Is power steering necessary for that size tire?
power steering is best mod you can do for them IMO other than locker right behind it. Yea control arms and gear reduction can run 35s provided you have enough reduction but 33s would be comfy on a 60% reduction
@@ProjectAjax Thanks for the insight. I love my Kodiak 700 on 30" ol3's but a p520 will be my next rig. An rmax 1000 would be cool but they're nearly 3x the cost of a p520 and far more complex.
I'm 71 and own a pioneer 500 and I love it, but this thing is awesome!
It's truly a beast. The blue P500 I built on 38s was also a blast to drive!
Sweet rig
Short wheel base with some ground clearance is where it's at. It's so nice not having to worry about bending a tie rod lol
Another overlooked factor with the P500s are they are so lightweight they stay on top of the mud and don't dig down like heavy defenders lol.
@@ProjectAjax you got that right lol
Wish I would have bought p500 instead of my talon and saved a bunch of money
2 months later u changed ur mind about this comment yet

That is one sick build
Nice looking pioneer . I’d love to see it in Canadian skeg 🤘👍🇨🇦

@@ProjectAjax you’ll have to check out are video’s I ride a Honda in the skeg and it does good in skeg you need to be lite or fast ✌️🇨🇦
very clean looking build. I like the look of the p500.Any plans for an aftermarket exhaust or air filter?

As far as the axles go, I tried to listen with the polaris portal, what input gears is he running to match the axles?
p500 inputs
@@ProjectAjax since when did SATV start making p500 45% inputs?!
@@matthewbuck7731 lol. they didn't. the bottom makes the difference. the top gear are same tooth count regardless of 30 or 45. hope that makes sense
@Project Ajax i always thought the input gear was for the ratio! Now it all makes sense. Appreciate it

maybe a 60+15 if you have a passenger often or riding the worst mud out there.
