Lot of polarizing comments about what I said on ratting in pubs. I recognize not everyone is "gifted" at the game, or has "time" so that ratting is the path of least resistance. I still stand by my comments, I think its corny and people nowadays love to be spoon fed because they don't want to actually have a challenge. It isn't that deep for me though- if y'all got a different opinion that's fair and valid. (this challenge is dumb tho I agree)

That's the real point I took from the comment you made anyway. It's a dumb challenge that's making people go as low as just ratting the entire game.
even if you win every pub game, surviving 25 rings is gonna take 2-3 hours at least when the pub ends round 2-3. As someone focusing on kill grinding another character, I no filled and dropped in the center of the map and went AFk. If I got found and killed good for them. That flatline skin is basically the only skin I would do it for and respawn has no idea how to make interactive challenges.

I was a Loba ratter, but I kept on dying as soon as I dropped that I couldn't survive the first ring close. Had at least 3 games in a row that died off the rip.

It’s crazy how you can’t give the guy some leniency in a game where teammates constantly quit on you, teammates constantly throw you into fights without questions and gets down and leaves and where teammates really don’t play team comp. Ok tbh when the r9 was in its peak I’ve enjoyed using it and there was a time I did run double 9s and I did pretty dam good with it but now the damage is just dog shit the recoil I can somewhat control it but for some clutch situations it let me down

The second I saw the changes to the R99 this season I stopped using it. If I picked it up on drop, yeah i'd use it until I found something else, but I dropped that thing like it was a Season 1 Mozambique the first chance I got

In my humble opinion, don't take the r99 unless you have a purple mag. That's what I do
Makes no sense that you can hammer nails with the volt(at distance) and the R99 you have to use your entire mousepad to counter the recoil.

Going into no fill pubs for the ring was the easiest save of time ever I don’t have to deal with my horrible teammates and have to go against top 1 percent players in my pub lobbies like I’m good on that even if lobs had a full team he has to go against a 90,000 career killer like wtf is that or triple preds like it’s broken asf

not only do you have to hit a higher percentage of your shots, it inherently requires more ammo as well
with a purple clip i'll run it for the nostalgia factor, but it's still a better idea to put it on something else
The season three R-99 is almost identical to the season twenty R-99. All i ask is that the recoil be reverted, and the mags be put down to their original sizes of 20, 22, 24 or 25, then 27. Wed have a done deal

I just solo Qd no fill. And drove around in a car. It helped get them done fast. Pubs get over with too quickly to survive 25 round closings. You say this video took a while to get clips with the R9 for. Yeah same thing for the challenges. Sorry you can't pubstop quicker. So you gotta bicker about it lmao😂

I actually love the fact that the r99 is bad. Ive always hated the r99 and because the r99 has been nerfed to hell, its made several close range weapons equally as viable. The Re-45, Flatline, Alternator, Volt, and probably a few others are all equally as good in this season because you arent getting beamed by r99 crutching kill grinders 24/7. This gun has been meta for like 15 seasons total and I hope they just let it die because its a very boring weapon that is harmful to the games balence.

@@Virus.Exe1-n2i they didn't buff other weapons because of the r99 tho. The r99 was the top smg for a long time and it made alot of weapons pointless to use close range because you'll just get beamed by an r99. I'm not a fan of nerfing everything instead of buffing everything either, but nerfing the r99 was a healthy change that allows for alot more weapon versatility, especially at close range

Possible r99 buff? Keep damage as it is, but increase the fire rate and mag size with purple having 32 like the care package r99
It already shoots fast enough. That's part of the problem with missing most of the clip if your aim isn't perfect

yeah I really want to use it cause I first started when it was in the care package and the 1st season I got to use it I had soooo much fun with it. Now it sucks, im not even joking one time there was someone with blue armor and he was STANDING STILL and I put almost every bullet in a purple mag into him including multiple headshots and he still had hp. Well it will get buffed next season because the next recolor is the r99 reactive skin so we good. Been using the volt this season and its pretty fun.

There was no other weapon class that was capable to go akimbo and get the same results as teen season smgs. But the r99 didn't deserve this, like make it a demon close range and not beamable at medium. Also these challenges were fun till they were doing survive 15 rings on characters I hate playing

Nah you can’t blame the pub ratters even if it does seem corny. This is 100% on the challenge and the state of pubs… 3/4ths of the lobby die before ring one closes and randoms leave the game so often that it makes the challenge extremely tedious.
They should’ve gone for more challenges that are legend ability oriented, not dumb grindy challenges
I agree, feels like they nerfed the r99 far too much, they should just up the damage per bullet a little and to me that'd fix it.
Btw there is nothing shameful about ratting in pubs for a casual challenge, and I honestly believe you are wrong for doubling down, because you are shifting the blame (or appear to be) on to the players and not onto the dev's. Time is precious, the majority of us can't drop £160 for a cosmetic (or death box), and if you have trouble surviving multiple ring closings ratting can be a legitimate tactic to reduce how much time you have to give to get that cosmetic if you desire it. Optimization is something to be admired not frowned upon.

25 ring closes for a challenge for a character that isn't super fun to play in pubs and you expect most ppl not to rat? Nah ima rat to ring 4 or 5 for a couple games and that way I can get back to playing characters I actually enjoy.

yeah, its kinda ridiculous.. Fuse and Seer were only 10 rings, which was on the easy side.. then it was 20 on maggie and rampart and then now it's 25 on Loba and its probably gonna be 25 on Valk too..
