    I live in an appartement. Went from beam to beam with rears to arc with rears. Now added the mini sub, it helps the setup A LOT. For my space it is more than enough and makes a big difference. For anyone on the doubt, it's worth it!

      Is it OK just arc and sub mini? I have a small/medium room and no room for rears so not sure if its with getting just a sub

    • @pim00246
      @pim00246 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You always can but rears would be a way bigger difference than adding a sub imo. Not worth it for your current setup imo.

    I finally broke and got a Sonia Beam Gen 2 because I was tired of my Samsung sound bar. The one thing I missed was the bass. Then literally the same week they announced this Sonos Sub Mini. I pre-ordered it. Can’t wait to get it paired up with the soundbar. Last piece will be getting the One SL’s for surround sound.

      @@CojRacerI like my setup. It’s good sound. Great for music. But doesn’t hit that sweet spot for big boomy bass in movies. For the price I’m happy. But if I had the money for the larger sub I think I’d prefer it.

    Thanks for your comparisons…I have an ARC in a room 20’x20’ with a 12’ ceiling…so I decided to choose the mini because of the price point…and according to your evaluation it will improve the sound of the ARC!

    Thanks for this, I’m a big Apple fan but for home audio I’m all in on Sonos. I appreciate learning about these products from an Apple user perspective.
    If you don’t mind some friendly feedback, in the future could you consider slowing down your speech/steadying your delivery? Every few sentences, there’s a phrase that goes super fast and it’s hard to understand. Thanks again! 👍🏻

    Hi , is it aparment/condo friendly? A couple yrs ago I purchased the Sonos Sub and it was to powerful for my condo, I had to lower the bass to the lower setting bc I felt like my neighbor would be able to get the noise and that didn’t justify the $799 price tag so I returned it. Do you think this smaller version o f it would be better? Less powerful. Thanks man

      How do you know? Even when I was running the Sonosequencr sub hack, just having a sub in the system made the Arc sound much better. I often had my actual subwoofer powered off most of the time, and the boosted midrange of the Arc made it much less boomy and more pleasant to listen to.

    • @liquid79
      @liquid79 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      It add A LOT TO MY ARC. I have the Arc and two Ones as rears and purchased the Sub Mini and it reaches lows not possible with the Arc. Lows down to 25hz. It also off loads the lows on the Arc and changes the sound of the Arc for the better allowing it to concentrate on the mids and highs.

    I’m not trying to blow the doors off my house with movie theater bass. I’m just looking for some help to beef up the bass at a normal volume level. I just preordered this new sub because it was exactly what I was hoping for from Sonos…with a better price point.
    I wonder if it’s possible to connect 2 of these subs to a room…and how would 2 of these mini subs compare to the sound of one full-size sub? That could be the way to go if they sound the same. Then you have the flexibility to use them in multiple rooms or place them in the same room.

      The era 100 paired with the Arc alone is outstanding and the sound is realistic. The volume frequency with. All the connections of the rears are very low. I am going to add the sub mini. I live in a small apt.

    I have a living room with vaulted (30 ft) ceilings. I’m looking at getting the Sonos Arc sound bar and the sub. Question, with the size of my ceilings, I’m concerned the Dolby Atmos would be significantly delayed or muffled as the sound tries to bounce off the ceiling and make it back down to the couch in time to match the regular spoken audio coming straight at me. What would you recommend for living rooms with tall ceilings? Getting tower speakers is out of the question since the wife will only allow a sound bar under the TV and we have book cases on either side of the TV. Is the software in the Sonos Arc smart enough to compensate for the size of the ceilings? Thanks for your input.

    • @miccijrful
      @miccijrful ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I bought the arc and returned it. My ceilings go from 8 to 12’. Two sky lights. One wall was 3’ away from the sides of the bar a the other wall about 14’. The bar does sound very good, but there was literally zero surround sound or Atmos effects. I tried the Arc in more conventional squared off room with 8’ ceilings and it was pretty amazing. So yes a great bar, but the room size and layout is critical from what I have seen.

    I have two sonos sl's (just for music) and want to add the mini - do I HAVE to have a soundbar? I would rather just have the sl's and the sub without a soundbar as I use another surround system for movies in my media room.

    The opposing speaker design I first read about it when I was a kid in the 1970s in a hard cover book I borrowed from the library.

    This sub looks like it's not heavy enough to create any " GOOD" bass. The way you flipped it looked like it weighs less than 5lbs. If this is lighter than 25-30lbs at its size, there is going to be massive vibrating and it's going to cause massive amounts of distortion. The 14lbs it weighs is far too light.

    • @TemujinScott80
      @TemujinScott80 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Bose is better

    • @colinbrydon7659
      @colinbrydon7659 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      STRAIGHT FROM A REVIEW. TRYING BOTH AND NOW BEING 100% Sonos I couldn’t agree more with the facts below.
      This fact alone is neither a fatal flaw of Bose nor a glowing endorsement of Sonos. It’s simply how things are: Bose is more traditionally good, while Sonos is more technologically advanced. One is synonymous with wired sound, while the other is synonymous with wireless. One is not inherently better than the other based solely on this, but Sonos still comes out on top.
      Sure, Sonos might be more expensive, and yeah, Sonos might not offer as many products as Bose. Yet Sonos has proved that they’re committed to the future of audio while Bose seems less and less interested in technological advancement. Coupled with a lack of specs and a failure to rise to today’s tech standards, it’s clear that Bose is second-best to Sonos.
