For anyone wondering, the half revolution flip occurs in the following direction: from thumb towards down your palm, and naturally, index side of the coin, goes up. I know it because I watched it at 25% speed, all of them. Hope this info helps on your practicing. Also don't forget to til it down foward, when holding the 3 coins before the half revolution; this slight inclination helps gravity to finish the job. What a beautiful gem Rick has given to us!!
This trick is AWESOME! I love it. I'm thinking this would be a good trick to do where they don't see the penny until the very end. Also, I like to use each coin to turn the other around. It is more deceptive and it helps transfer the penny. At the end, I say: "Watch, we rub the two quarters together... and make a baby coin."
So glad I had this saved after your Short today. What a killer effect for someone at my current level Rick. Cant thank you enough for all the guidance here on TH-cam, what a blessing.
Wow, what a fun move that one from Vanni Bossi is! I was following along in my mirror, and when I reached the 6:40 mark and you instructed how to let the penny roll from one thumb to the next, I literally burst out laughing as I saw how it worked and executed the move, because it was so satisfying and so diabolical. Not as hard as it seems like it should be, either! Thank you so much for this - this is a cute, fun trick with a distinctive flavor, and I'm grateful you've chosen to share it with all of us.
Congratulations It does not need any gimmick and it can be done anywhere and anytime Thank you (In France, we do not have such large coin but it works !!!!)
Absolutely fantastic! Home run Rick. You have a great way about you. I think I'd like to include some patter about my grandfather telling me to pick up pennies on the ground, as they are good luck if the head is facing up. That could segway from good luck into a magic penny when combined with 2 half dollars. Love it.
Wow, I enjoyed this video so bad... I rewatched the effect several times before the explanation, and got delighted every single one of them. And the method it's even better... Rick it's a genius of coins putting both hidden gems together, and delivering this effect into the world. A beautiful presentation and cool name should come out of it!
@@RickHolcombe you're not asking me, but please allow me to share: I saw this effect on your short videos, and I went nuts before you gave this video explanation. I was thinking that you were using gimmicked coins (not sure if you're a purist though, and not entirely sure, where such gimmicks could be found, if they existed lol). Then I felt like that was an unreasonable theory. I aborted it, and finally came to the conclusion that it was just a great help from angles, and something that would only work for TH-cam... Well, days later, scrolling down your channel, and I find this video... now you can imagine my happiness lol Thank you, Rick!!
Congrats on 10k bro. Just got your lecture from Copeland. AFCA was great and loved the triple crown. Also the nice guitar session at the end. Love the tutorial. Have a good one.
Congratulations on the big 10k!!! Edit: that's a really sneaky trick. Can't wait to learn this and show my son. He's gonna love it. Thanks for the lesson.
Congratulations Sir I started my coin magic journey from this channel i have learned alot from you and still learning thank you very much i wich you may get more and more success thanks for the tutorial it looks like a miracle
@@dayzr420 for me I prefer to use the dollars to turn each other and the penny transfers immediately when the left dollar comes in front of the right to push it back and start turning.
Vanni was very found of the coin transfer from One large Coin to the the. Pedro Lacerda pubblished the turning of the small coin in the 80s. All the best. Davide Costi.
Wait! You left out the hardest part! How do I get a wife? Oh, I guess I could just get a ring...LOL. Thank you so much. I do have both books (and a wonderful wife), but haven't read through the Hugard book since the 1970's, and "Aretology" remains in the "to be read" stack. Too much magic, too little time. Always a pleasure, sir! Kind regards, John
Hi Rick, congrats one 10k! I have a question, do you use the flipper coin alot, and will you be releasing any material for the flipper coin? Also, I was wondering where I could get a really good morgan flipper coin from.
Thanks! I love using a flipper, but I don't have anything really unique using one. In my opinion, the best routine you can do with a flipper is Eric Jones routine "Spectator Visual Coins Across" he did it on Penn and Teller and America's Got Talent. You should check out Mark Mason's site jbtvusa.com
@@RickHolcombe Is it the flipper routine where the last phase includes dropping 2 from the spectators and and 2 from your own with one coin appearing to jump fron theirs to your hand? If it is it is taught on the Metal 4 DVD, the whole routine requires a OXF set though
When I saw the two large coins and the penny I thought it was going to be the trick where the large coins are held in edge grip, hidden behind the penny. Gotta figure out how to make a little routine with those two tricks combined. Speaking of bad material in books, the coin flip reminds me of an unimpressive trick where three coins are held face up then dropped in the spectator's hand. Afterward, the middle coin is shown to have turned face down. Super knacky, I could never get the move to work, plus it's a terrible trick.
It's surprising what you read compared to what actually works. I told myself a long time ago to give everything a try, but also try to look at everything differently.
@@RickHolcombe yes I know that the trick you just show does not but other visual stuff is hard to perform. my country's coin are small that I can't even do the musle pass. When trying to palm them it is just obvious what is is you are doing to the spectator 😔
Hi Rick, congrats on 10k!!! great fun little routine! I have a question, is the D.A.V.E. [Live] Experience on Copeland coins routines taught there the same as your Alakazam live lecture? As I noticed that the Gaffs needed are the same on the trailer

Pretty great effect and simple enough to do! Any tips on reducing noise when the penny is sliding from right to left?
Awesome! Just try to keep the large coins in contact as the penny moves, any noise will be covered by the larger coins hitting each other.
Pretty dang cool, great thinking dude

I'm pretty sure this trick won't work with my EDC.
Why?
I tried hiding the Glock between the Smith and Wesson and the Sig Sauer, but it's impossible!
❤👏👏👏👏👏❤️
Could you let it fall the other way maybe?
How can I get American coins I'm in south Africa and our coins are very tiny 🥺
So you can order Dollars or half dollars on Amazon as magic stuff but it is quite expensive
You don't need American coins. Just look for coins 35mm-40mm diameter
