Bless your soul for being the only person using aluminum with poron as a base sound test. It sounded amazing and will be my setup. Every other video had unlubed switches only using the cork foam it was really annoying
Haha, thanks! Love Alu, it's incredible. I just wish there was a bigger sound difference between the different foam types. It's minor and definitely doesn’t come across well through the video compared to in person. You'll love your board!
I love your videos. You are the reason I built my first keyboard, the Lucky65 v2. You showed me how to mod and how keyboards work. I appreciate your work, man!
@TyCottle you should try the lucky65 v2, it's a fully aluminum, ball catch, hotswap board with via and pretty good stock stabilizers all for 60$. It will blow your expectations away
Hi Ty, love the video it was very informative. I see that the zoom75 has a Mac mode and I was wondering if you knew whether the functions keys will work as the default Mac functions keys such as brightness, pause, play and volume up/down. This is definitely a feature I have been looking for in boards because for whatever reason I cannot find a way to map the functions keys on other boards in this sort of way. Thanks!!
Hey, yeah, great question! It does let you use the original F-row macros as long as you hold down the FN key-at least, that's how it is by default for me. I think you can swap it in the key configuration app to flip it, so the macros become the default, and the FN key swaps it to regular F-keys. Hopefully, that answers your question!
I almost got this but I still have my zoom75. I got the dark side of the moon awekeys metal keycaps, and will be putting them onbthat gravastar k1. Shit will look fucking amazing.

This looks really cool, wish I didn't have 20 keyboards so I could justify getting this
ordered mine with poron + pom plate to match with my Vertex V1 switches, I can't wait for it to arrive
i got mine with cork and pom, but feel like maybe i shoulda gone with poron. idk this is my first custom purchase
Damn! Your lighting is just 😮💨😮💨😮💨

What was the name of the clear keycaps?
Hey! Would you be willing to do a “I built my subscriber a keyboard” type of video? I have a budget of $130 and would love a creamy sounding keyboard!
