- The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets beat the Florida State Seminoles 16-13 in Tallahassee. Freshman quarterback Jeff Sims led the way with 277 yards passing and a passing touchdown, and 64 yards rushing in the victory.
With all the QB talent across the country, Blackman is still the starter at FSU....

why did they pull jordan late in the game when he was driving pretty effortlessly outside of the one 3rd down... they were finally moving the ball again.. Norvell was like naaaahhhh, can't let him do this good.

Just look at how Sims a freshman stays in the packet. Afterward watch Blackmon who runs with no pressure, Sims had two interceptions that rightfully should've cost them. The throw Blackmon made down the field is a pick against great teams. I just kept watching at the two, even Howell at NC who everyone should remember was at FSU...

Because it was several games in which we should have never lost. Florida and clemson should have been our only loses. There were too many games in which the offense started out explosive in the first half. Have a three or two score lead going into the second half, and can't move the chains. Then the other team storms back and makes it a game

Simms wasn't even that great in this game, but you can definitely see the potential. He got a lot of yards on screens and underneath passes, and threw a couple picks (and should've had a couple more). Still he's an impressive specimen, his running seems solid and overall for a freshman it's pretty impressive. GA Tech defense played great as well
Potential? He was average at best, when at his best, FSU made him look good and he wasn't even that good.

It was a bad game...Both teams better do better next game...As i see now FSU looked better overall..But GT held..The next game with UCF will be good...GT has advantage with both lines.. But UCF lineman is built for speed. They will switch players regularly to keep them fresh..Ucf holds the edge in secondary ...Note Ucf scores in less than 3 minutes. The winning time of possession doesn't matter. Receivers and running backs Ucf has an edge they are 5 deep in both positions. Tight end. Ucf has a 6 6 bruiser . He looked great in Practice..Gt needs to bring pressure to win...The only weakness is the Ucf offensive line...But can Gt bring pressure for the full game.. Unfortunately he’s the best that we have at the moment. Travis is basically a running back who can kinda throw, Purdy got his collarbone broken in fall scrimmage, Rodemaker doesn’t know the playbook yet, and Sims....well, Norvell ( allegedly) told him he wasn’t a good fit for our offense so he went to Tech..and came to town to show us what could have been.

Can you guys please stop skipping so many plays? I really appreciate what you do condensing these games. I love to watch them to study and review FSU games... but way too often you skip plays. For example, after picking up a first down, all of a sudden it's 3rd down the next play. I'd like to know what happened on 1st and 2nd down. Even if they're boring plays, I want to see every play. Maybe skip a fair catch punt or a touch back on a kickoff... but ideally I'd like to see every play. Again, I appreciate all the hard work you put into editing these games so we can watch them so quickly. Thank you for your consideration.

All in all I thought FSU played a great game. They looked so much better than they have in recent years. They made some really good plays but we unfortunately lost. Only by a field goal though. Sure we should of done better on offense but I’m still proud of my boys. Fans don’t count them out. It’s only the first game. Remember the legacy that they have. You can’t measure your love for FSU by wins only. I still love them whether they win or lose. Go Noles!

Not a Football fan (do not even watch the games), but if FSU can't beat GA-tech, this will be a long season for us. How is running the tactical plans in the games? It seams to me that their only tactics are are;
1) Give the ball to Blackman-pass he ball if someone else is free;.
2) Give the ball to Blackman-if nobody is free then Blackman run foward. It is very simplistic, this sport is crap.
Norville bases his offense on running..He does not have guards on offense so he lets blackman throw ..He needs to run Shorter routes for receivers.. Also he needs a running Quarterback Blackman holds ball to long. more tight end play would be great...Offensive line is big but slow..
