- Hi friends! Today we take a look at the very talented Cinna!
Cinna was an incredibly talented and smart designer, who used his work to process and show his emotions. We later find out that he wasn't just artistically smart, he was politically smart too. He was a big part of an underground rebel group, who were aiming at overthrowing president Snow.

Hi friends! A quick reminder not to post spoilers for "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes". The book isn't out in many countries yet, and won't be for another few weeks, so it's incredibly inconsiderate.
Also, many of you have been asking when I'll make videos about it. I won't be making videos about it until the movie adaptation is released, as this firstly gives everyone time to buy and read the book, and secondly will allow us to use the secondary canon that is a movie to base ideas off of. I love how even though Cinna knew that he was going to die he basically sacrificed himself for Katniss and the Rebellion. This imply’s that he had always wanted the rebellion to happen-he just has to wait for the right time.
An outfit that says that whoever made the hunger games is responsible for about 1701 deaths

I think if they killed Cinna on screen I’d have screamed, it would have probably scarred me.
I'm willing to bet that Cinna could low key be from district 1if Suzanne Collins made it known. Think about it. Luxury is the district's industry. So that would mean District 1's living conditions are a small scale version of that in the Capitol. And in the when Cinna ordered food for him and Katniss, Katniss noted how Cinna seems so acquainted with the luxury that it's ridiculous how she has had to battle starvation back in 12. That's a hint. And then there's his finesse skill in design and the pride he puts into it. His costume design for Katniss and Peeta turn District 12, the trashiest of trash districts, become more favorable than Marvel and Glimmer, who's costumes would have traditionally been the best. And district 1 loves to pride themselves in appearance and performance in the hunger games. That's why their tributes, particularly the females like Glimmer and Cashmere, are so attractive but deadly. And why they have one of the largest pools of victors. Then there's his physical description. Katniss even said "I'm surprised about how normal he looks." Cinna didn't have that obnoxious and ridiculous fashion craze like the Capitolians. His appearance was simple, but with that swagger 😎 district 1 characters such as Cashmere and Gloss carry about themselves. This was a reason Katniss could connect with him. And though Katniss stated he spoke with that Capitol accent, it was less pronounced than the other Capitol citizens. This is good evidence to show that Cinna hasn't lived in the Capitol his entire life and was recruited from District 1 because of his superior designing skills. And lastly there's that low key rebel mindset. All of Cinna's designs were aimed to send a message to the oppressive Captiol. Cinna's fire costume of design District 12 made the coal mining district, be the talk of the city to the point where in the first movie, president Snow talked with Seneca about the underdog districts 10,11, and 12, and stated he hates underdogs cuz they are the most dangerous more so than the career districts cuz no one expects anything great out of them. Then when Snow ordered Cinna to dress Katniss in her wedding gown, it turned out to be a Mockingjay dress, the symbol of the rebellion. And if this shows that Cinna is a rebel from District 1, than could mean that even though District 1 is very favored by the Capitol because of how much pleasure they can provide for the Capitolians, it's actually a very oppressed district . They are only giving preferential treatment because they're people pleasers who have to put out an outward show, but are hurting on the inside. The Capitol uses that preferential treatment to brainwash their kids into thinking the hunger games are great to participate in when they're not. Heck, Cashmere and potentially her Gloss were prostitutes for wealthy Capitol citizens for their attractive bodies. Being degraded after surviving a death royale. And if District 1 fails to meet the Capitol's bullshit expectations, they're brutally punished. This is symbolized on how Cinna was brutally beaten up by peacekeepers in front of Katniss before the quarter quell. Obviously for a rebellious act in Snow's eyes. And on the Hunger Games wiki page, it shows that District 1 was surprisingly on of the first four districts to rebel against the Capitol right after districts 8,11, and 3. And I thought district 4 was the most rebellious career district. And that's why I think Cinna is a low key District 1 citizen
I think Cinna's view of luxury was because he lived in the Capitol, where they are all used to living a luxurious and easy lifestyle.
