    Teacher Mike, when I arrived at the beginning to Los Angeles, I was afraid of being wrong saying gay instead of guy. I didn't feel comforable to use this word. Right now, I can use it whitout feeling me unsure, Your explanation helped me so much to use it better.👍🙉❤

    This is marvelous because we can't learn such slangs of native English in other lessons but from you. In Sri Lanka we hear such words specially 'bro' on social media like fb. We find them confusing sometimes. You clarified the slangs very clearly. Thank you very much dear Mike.

    8 months ago video when it popped up to my newsfeed. I totally agree with you, teacher Mike about the use of guys, bro, man, dude. I am not a native english speaker I thought it's awkward for me to use "guys" and "dude". Informative and amusing the way you presented it👍 First time to see you in moustache😀 you look great😀👍

    Hi Teacher Mike! I'm Mehdi from Morocco and I'm Beginner student. I'have three problems:
    1- As a beginner, I find a problem with which dialect and accent I should learn.
    2- I don't know how to use correctly all the tenses (in communication and writing).
    3- I have a problem with slang and reduced expressions.

    • @TeacherMikeEnglish
      @TeacherMikeEnglish  4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Don't worry about accent or dialect unless you have a specific reason that you really want to choose one.
      For points 2 and 3, just keep learning and listening/reading every day.

    What does it mean when police use it while violating your rights and givingvunkawfulborders. I watch a lot of police audit channels and it seems the cities are hiring gang members who go not know what the 1st ,4th, or 5th or any amendments are.

      Watching police audit videos I hear them calling their suspects those names while attempting to violating their rights. Why do they say bro, dude, ....? It sounds like police are former gang members who found out how to get away with their crimes.
