Hi l am from Saint Albans,Hertfordshire in England.just to let you know the weather here is horrible wet, windy and a little bit of sun now and again but not much ,you two look after yourselves good to see Don up and on the go again and you Mel you’re doing a fabulous job of the bus Yours Barrie xx
Oh, do we understand those days that just don't go right. I could tell you a story about me getting so upset because my boots kept getting stuck in the mud when my husband and I were putting drain tile in our driveway.....and I took a wheel barrow full of gravel and threw it. Then I stormed off in the cold November rain. My husband chased after me, calmed me down and we had to call it a night. All to rehabitate a small, run down home. There's more to the story....just wanted to let you know that we get it. You should be pleased with all the hard work you have done. It's really looking amazing. 😊
Hey Jo sounds like you’ve been there and had those days too :) thanks for sharing .. but what I really want to know is how strong are you to throw a wheel barrow full of gravel :)
Everybody has minor set backs ,know bodies perfect ,but those that give you crap dont have the guts to admit in words you've done it on U tube for the world to see ,keep up the good work girl and tell that hubby he was lucky to find you. Keep up the good work the pair of you
I learned a long time ago that people are hateful because they're jealous. I didn't get a notification for this video, but everything you two do is amazing. I know few people that can work together like the two of you.
Haters are just jealous! Ignore or block the negative. You guys are rocking this build. I am one of the NICE jealous people following this beautiful custom build 😍
This is your journey and we are fortunate to be able to vicariously come along with you. Thank you for your authenticity. Walk to your own drum beat, ignore those who want to tell you what to do . I love your your content, you are beautiful people. Keep strong enjoy the journey . By the way the weather where I am, which is Brisbane Australia , is currently 10 degrees Celsius and the sun is just coming up, probably be 23 degrees today. 😊👍🇦🇺
The last videos I saw were of you guys driving your bus across the states! That was ages ago so now I’m excited to see all the build! Lots of binge watching coming!
If you edge band all your parts before assembly its much easier. You can then sand everything and get to all the edges. They also make an edge band cutter to shave off the excess. Keep up the good work.
Excellent work. Back issues stink! Southern climates will ease those pains. Only patience will let you meet your expectations. And really, take a day off in health! Thanks for your video. I loved it!

I live in a very old house and I know all about walls not being straight, I just adapt with any project I do. Fun sometimes but also frustrating too. Here in the UK, we have had very strange weather at times as we have had sunshine with hail/snow. Don’t listen to the the horrible people, you are doing a great job. We all have things go wrong, that’s how we all learn. I love your journey and look forward to each video, we are with you guys. ❤️
Don't worry about them, love watching your journey, just keep going you're doing a great job. To the trolls out there if you can't say anything nice don't say anything at all, simply don't watch this channel. The world would be a better place without your nastiness.
Don't mind the trolls because they want you to feel bad. We just lost Lee from suicide because of a lot of trolls. You are doing this for yourself and letting people see what your doing. It's a great accomplish meant and don't forget it. There is no time limit so take time for yourselves when you need it
You’re both so inspirational. We are planning to do the same (in Australia) with virtually no building skills. Please keep the videos coming. Remember it’s lots of little jobs one after another.
I used to live in a house that started as a mini bunk house on Ft Dix, probably built around WW1. Then an expert auto mechanic, put 2 additions on it. There wasn't any part of the building that was square or plum. The kitchen floor was so unlevel, we had a 2 X 4 under the 2 left legs of the refrigerator. Patience is key with any building project. You 2 are doing great! Don, remember the word patience. Let your back heal. You'll save time (& pain) in the end.
There is always a beginning together with a path....that takes you to your objective, nothing is easy in life especially if it is a dream.....keep up the good work, specially the smile of both of you
Way to go guys! Looking great. I watch your videos while I take a break from working on our coach/MH conversion. Funny how a South African accent melded with an American accent creates a weird sort of Australian accent. Take care folks.
The weather has been constant rain in TX! I would love some sunshine! Sorry about your back Don, my husband has the same issue. Thanks for sharing the hard parts too!
@@Rehabit8 thank you! It’s been treating him well these days. Once we start construction on our bus I will keep this video in mind. I also do ballet and am loving this bed idea!

Grateful that you share your trials as well as your successes. Keep up the good work! Oh and for gods sake take a day off, we will be here when you get back :)

But like training for a ultra marathon quitting is not an option. Thank you for the motivation. I can't wait to see you guys rolling down the highway. God bless you guys, jeff

Good on you mela and Don, yea don't let those trolls bother you, yes, your allowed to take time off, you both work very hard. Glad dons back is better. The bus is coming along nicely, the murphy bed is looking good, even after the mistake you made, keep going guys
Keep your collective chins up. I can tell you're worn out, but just know that even though we might not say much there are several of us that look forward to seeing more of your success. I love watching you guys...BIG HUGS!
Don't worry about what other people say. The only people whose opinions matter are yours and your husband. It's your bus (house) not theirs. I think your doing an awesome job. Keep going strong.
Silly thought, the Murphy bed, at the bottom where you might be concerned about wear on the feet where you removed the trim. Maybe use a hinge instead? There's all the plumbing pipes you've got from the previous pilates equipment build, you could use that as one huge hinge that goes all the way through from your 'Murphy towers', through the legs of the bed. It means that it won't be sitting on the floor but a fraction above it giving no wear to the feet or scuffing up the floor.
Keep up the great work! Your absolutely right there will always be trolls, forget them sad that they have nothing better to do but get their kicks out of putting people down. Side note, on areas that are hard to glue try a CA glue it is a very strong super glue that has a aerosol spray activator it works within seconds. You can pick it up at wood working stores like Woodcrafters. Good luck, looks great so far!
You can buy a really cheap tool for cutting the edge banding...it does a really good job and is quick! As well, edge band all the parts before assembly, that way you are not dealing with corners...just need to remember which edges get banding and which do not.
Not to worry, Melanie. Anyone who has a big build project knows what you are going through. Hang in there. I don't know which vaccine you had, but I had the Moderna. It has taken me 4 to 6 weeks per shot to get my energy back. Rest when your body says to rest. Blessings.
