KATSEYE is expecting to debut in 2024. The maknae (Yoonchae) will be 16. The oldest (Manon) will be 21/22. This is good, considering that a lot of minors are debuting nowadays.
Like debuting at Sophia and Manon age is not wrong but normal.
The lineup is so good, Lara and Sophia for the vocals, Manon for the unique voice, Megan, Daniela and Yoonchae for the dancing.

Manon is not part of my original picks but I'd rather pick manon over emily. We can always work out with the dancing skills but not the vocal tho. Manon obviously has better vocals than emily (as she is only a dancer and very different from the case of daniela who's also a dancer but can really sing). We need someone who can sing and dance.

Manon is not bad at dancing tho? And her stage presence could use work but it’s also not bad, not to mention her vocals are among the best left, so to say the other girls are “more talented” is just rude and false. anyways everyone deserved their spot and I’m happy to see the girl future unfold

I voted for Emily throughout the entire competition, but I think Manon deserved to debut as well. They still have time before actual debut, so she can still catch up, like &team Jo did. By the 5th member announcement, it was obvious Emily and Ezrela wouldn't make it because of their height. Please don't stress too much! HYBE also has a tendency to keep the trainees they don't debut for their next projects. IMO, Emily and Ezrela might fit better in a group with a fresher concept. Let's keep our fingers crossed. 🥹

About Samara's stance, I suddenly remember how Garam was out of Le Sserafim also because of her issues. I felt sad for both of them.
Who is Garam?
Lets not compare Garam and Samara. Samara is a RACIST and was CAUGHT being anti-indian AND while on a show where an Indian girl was SURELY debuting considering she’s one of the most talented and popular. Garam was falsely accused of something and had her life ruined. These are completely different situations and it’s frankly disgusting to compare Garam to a racist.
I am a big, big, big fan of Sophia and Lara but I was really sure Samara would debut. Like there was not even a shred of doubt in my mind that the four of them including Daniela would be chosen. I mean, these four are the aces and have been consistent performers who can dance and sing with the right amount of charisma to make them stand out. I think the issue regarding her past may have played a part of her not being chosen to debut.
Samara lost to Manon in all three metrics: Early voting, live voting, and judges scores. Additionally, the judges voted for Megan the most which tipped the scales so Megan would’ve placed 7th if not for the judges.
Samara had the second lowest score among judges so I think that scandal played a big role.

Also I’m sorry manon doesn’t lack stage presence out of the performance she did she lacked stage presence in one and that was buttons under that she’s has very solid stage presence and knows how to rock a song also her dancing isn’t the best but it doesn’t stick out like sore thumb either she’s trained the least out of everyone and was still able to keep up with everyone her potential is crazy

I remebered the host said “in no particular order” before he announced the debuting members. So it meant Yoonchae could be in 6th or 5th rank or Sophia in 2nd rank but was announced 3rd and 1st order respectively during the finale.
According to kprofiles, sophia was ranked 1st, Lara was ranked 2nd, daniela was ranked 3rd, yoonchae being 4th, megan being 5th and manon still last place
How can we question experts who pick them and the public who vote them. Either you love them or not

Manon was never a bad performer she just didn’t have enough lines to show it she just as talented as the other in singing her dancing is good for some one who dosent dance her stage presence is amazing her expressions after mission 3 was truly slaying
Daniela should be Lead Vocalist though! She's got the same vibe as Seulgi and Shownu
I also like Emily but seeing the line up.. Manon's more fit😊

These rankings are not accurate...he said he was announcing in no particular order. Also, Emily wasn't robbed her votes were the lowest and she hadn't proven her singing ability. She would have needed the judges to give her over 47 points (the highest was 41.33 given to Megan) to make it....This isn't a kpop group so vocals + stan attraction SHOULD beat dancing. Plus, if anything, it would have been Samara or Ezrela.

I know she had a really little chance to debut but what I don't understand is Manon over Samara, Ezrela or Marquise. Don't misunderstand me, she is a good vocalist, but the others stood out most to my eyes. And I'm still happy with the lineup because ALL the girls were talented.
@@elfy2006 Ignore how talented you think they all are for a sec. Basically, every girl had someone in the same category/role they were competing against. Sophia and Marquise were competing for the non SK asian spot, and Sophia was most popular. Ezrela and Lara were competing for the Indian spot and Lara was more popular. Manon and Samara were competing for the black girl spot and Samara shot herself in the foot w/ the controversy and lost a lot of support outside her home country. It also helps that all of them fit each other more as Emily/Ezrela/Marquise are more cute. Sure, HYBE could have not chosen Manon at all but not having black girl rep in the group would have been dumb + she is a stan attractor. Marquise/Emily/Ezrela would not have added anything missing that would make up for what Manon brings & Samara would only bring controversy. They had a marketing director as a judge for a reason.

@@elfy2006 It's not like they chose anyone untalented. Manon has been training for a short time and her dancing has already improved a lot from the first mission to this performance. Her vocals are also improving, provide the group with a unique tone, and were better than some of the girls that didnt make it, from what we saw. So really, what are they losing out on? None of the girls left were main vocalists (except for Samara who was out due to scandal not looks) and the group really doesnt need any more dancers.
