Los Angeles Lakers defeats Phoenix Suns, 123-116. For Los Angeles, Anthony Davis led the way with 35 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 blocks while aided by Austin Reaves (26 points (5 3PM), 4 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals) and Lebron James (21 points, 4 rebounds, 8 assists) in the victory. Kevin Durant finished with 30 points, 4 rebounds, and 6 assists while Devin Booker has tallied 23 points (4 3PM) and 4 assists for Phoenix in the losing effort. The Lakers improve to 2-0 on the season, while the Suns fall to 1-1.
With 35 PTS tonight, Anthony Davis becomes the first Laker to record 30+ PTS in back-to-back games to start the season since Kobe Bryant in 2005.
First time since 2010-11, that the Lakers start season 2-0.

Relied on LeBron to save them late in games, not running any actual offense, freezing AD out of the offense for no reason, running weird lineups with all guards or all forwards, benching rui for cam and prince. Ham had no clue what he was doing last year.
AD and AR played at a high level. That pick and role was devastating.

Not gon lie, JJ did a really good job, taking the right amount of time outs at the right moments, again making the offense around AD and putting lebron finally in a second option. The game was almost over at the second querter, like this was a really good game handling the situation, it was a 20 points come back.
As a lakers fan i dont expected anything this season but really good what JJ is cooking but just I hope that AD or Lebron don´t go down cause if that happens then We´re cooked.

2 years ago i said Reaves has the talent to be a 25 ppg type player. Comments were wild. If they keep enabling him, he can be close to that since i dont think he will get enough touches to ever get 25 but he can average a solid 20+ as a third or second option. He is a very good developing player.

I like that JJ is letting Anthony Davis take over in the 4th and LeBron doesn’t have to bail them out like he had to last season the coaching difference is night and day so far and that whole minutes restriction Darvin Ham had LeBron on last season made zero sense
Lebron wasn’t bailing anyone out we kept consistently losing fourth quarters which is why we are now relying more on AD. That’s how it should’ve always been.

2. Make Rui the rebound crasher
3. Actually run offense through AD and AR instead of forcing Bron to make every play himself.
4. Call the fucking timeouts.
5. Call plays and run sets for players.
We just need vando back and we’ll genuinely have a top 4 seed contending team
