One of the cooler simpler patch ideas I've ever seen. Adds so much character with little effort.

After watching this video I happened on some crazy sounds you can get with a couple tweaks to this setup:
With the setup from this video, instead of patching straight to the attenuator from the S/N out; try patching S/N out to the noise oscillator, and then patch the mixer output to the attenuator. Turn oscillator 1 and 2 all the way down in the mixer, turn the noise oscillator up, and then crank the resonance knob on the filter up quite a bit. This last step seems to turn all the sharp frequencies from the noise oscillator into full tones, creating a random tone generator that sounds pretty sick. (Try blending one of the regular oscillators in with the noise oscillator and see what happens)
Had lots of fun with this one, keep the patch vids comin'.

I’m loving these videos. They’re really help by me learn the creative ways to use my Matriarch and helping learn what function serves what purpose. Keep them coming!

Great Idea! Why didn't I think of that? (Don't answer please!)
But I think I never found this patching idea because I've never had a problem with the "muddy" reverb, in fact, I savor the "soupy" reverb of the Grandmother!
EVERY synth I've ever owned, I've always NEEDED a high pass filter and lamented its exclusion. I was psyched about the Gma having one... until I actually played the Gma's low pass filter which pulls out so much low end, once you get past the seismic tones, that I find I don't NEED a high pass filter, I get full tones without the unwanted flubber just by using a LOW PASS, who would have thought?!
Such a finely balanced, and really usable filter!
I'll actually put the high pass to use now!
    Thank YOU!

I love all of these videos. Is there any way you could compile them on your site so that they are all in a Grandmother folder? Forgive me if they already are. Thanks again for making a great synthesizer and these videos!
