These are the best food videos of the Prima out there. Might even be some of the best food videos in all of cruising. Can't believe how much my mouth is watering.... gotta wait til our cruise in February!
The food on the Prima did not disappoint. So much available... forget the Buffet! (Amazing that people can be mindless & just go there no matter what.) Food Hall was incredible. Los Lobos also on point. My parents just got off a Celebrity cruise almost 2x the price & said they much preferred the availability & variety of food on the Prima by comparison
@@harrisonjonesRVA I think food will be grew Ncl Prima May 22 2025 reykjavik departure. Think outside 20% bigger so inside not very good. Especially in 40f Iceland where outside even with heat lamps have problem
I would 100% pick Mardi Gras. But I also generally prefer Carnivals onboard experience. This is n improvement over past NCL ships, but the rest of the ship felt like a downgrade from older NCL ships. The public spaces aren’t big enough for the guest capacity.
Pardon my inexperienced question please: there’s a lot of self service areas, I saw spoons, ladles, tongs to serve yourself a helping of your offerings? I prefer staff plating you after telling them your choices. Less cross contamination? Were there hand sanitizer or washing stations before you went to self service? Trying prepare. Might avoid those situations, not wanting to get sick. It’s life, I can be flexible about my choices. Thanks 😊
No need to apologize, I am happy to help! You would want to avoid the buffet (all meals), Observation lounge (breakfast, snack) and Indulge Food Hall (breakfast only) to avoid the self-service situation. There ARE hand wash and sanitizer stations at the entries to the buffet area and Indulge. AND I witnessed staff swapping out all the utensils at the buffet mid-meal to cut down on germage (technical term 😉). I don't know how frequently they do it.
I think they have someone on board whose job it is to advise you on what you can and cant eat, but I don't think there are gluten-free versions of the menu items. You have to order stuff that's already gluten free. In a video from when I went on Viva, i showed how you're able to modify items at Indulge - but it would be "no bread" not "make this gluten free" th-cam.com/video/k6H1FyV6Pr4/w-d-xo.htmlsi=xerH6v5Rx3Mkon1q&t=550

Great not grew
Superb. Very well produced. Thank you.
Thank you! And thanks for watching!
The ship looks beautiful and the presentation and plates look amazing
The ship is pretty but it feels small for the guest capacity. All the food was great though!
I really enjoyed the video it was super helpful & i love all the additional info you've added ! Thank youuu ❤
That's wonderful to hear! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Thumbs-up and ❤ rating, which one is higher. Just did the Prima, Norway Iceland cruise. Your presentation is very truthful and accurate.
Thumbs up I would say is not bad and ❤ is I loved it!
Thumbs-up is "like," heart is "love."
Besides the local observation lounge and buffet grab and go breakfast
Comparing this experience versus the free food on say a Carnival Mardi Gras, which one would you prefer to do again?
I would 100% pick Mardi Gras. But I also generally prefer Carnivals onboard experience. This is n improvement over past NCL ships, but the rest of the ship felt like a downgrade from older NCL ships. The public spaces aren’t big enough for the guest capacity.

Does this have parts of your Hudsons and Commodore video?
Yes, it's a compilation video of the main parts of my other videos. for people who prefer it all in one place :)
Do you know if they provide gluten free options?
