    I think dopamine binging is a little outdated metaphor. Typically "extreme sports" folks don't seek out more dangerous and adventurous activities because their dopamine levels are at a new baseline, its more likely due to their increase in competency in those activities that allows them to both mentally and physically try new more challenging actives. Start small and work your way up, just like everything else in life.

    It sucks sometimes man, it drives me insane when I’m stuck not being able to do anything thrilling because I’m out of money to travel and even the cheap sports I can do in my hometown like like skateboarding sometimes get rained out. That and now I’ve experienced even greater rushes, aerials and stair sets just don’t cut it anymore

    high IQ adrenaline junkies do extreme sports, while low IQ adrenaline junkies simply procrastinate until an obscenely little time is left for their work to be done

    I've been a dang ol' ADRENALINE Junkie... since the friggin' Mid-80's...
