for those wondering why their texture is black in game just go to the jem file and put as the texture textures/entity/nameofthemob.png (in the png thing put the name of the mob you're trying to recreate)

You should check that the notepad is called pack and the assets folder is called just like that and if it is not that it is because of the number that the notepad has, the document that you downloaded shows 9 and that depends on the version of minecraft that you want to use.

I'm having trouble making a custom model for bees. In vanilla when a bee is aggressive or collects pollen it changes textures to reflect that. However after making my custom model and creating the angry and nectar textures for the bee only the normal texture shows up. The model I made looks perfectly fine in game I just can't figure out how to get it to switch textures when aggressive or collecting pollen. I know this video is a little old but if anyone could help me out that would be awesome!

No matter what I do my bees just turn out black and pink (broken texture) The model looks to be updated, but the texture doesn't work, while your pig works fine even if it says it's for an older version. I've tried changing the mcmeta file to the newer version, but it didn't help. What have I done wrong? :(
It seems your have more of a texture issue then file issue. To fix this go to the models file and look at the texture path make sure it correctly put in to go to the textures destination.

It shows your pig entity under textures when I downloaded it and when I tried to delete it, it deleted the "textures" folder. Cannot add "New Folder" in there either.

@@toadscoolchannel64 To summarize the Pin comment, you have to go into the models file "name".jem open it and there should be a line that has the texture file name, edit to the textures LOCATIONS so go textures>entity>"texture name"

I think that's only possible with mobs that already have a biome variation or with some kind of mod

Make sure the pack.mcmeta is included beside the assets folder, that's how minecraft reads the texture pack, if that doesn't fix it, check for typos

I can't turn the cube diagonally, it just stands up straight
to rotate a cube when making entity models, you have to put it in a folder or a "root" to give it a new rotation property
