Hi . Adrian. U should make a attachment for the loader with two heavy wall pipes. For the tyres on pit.when u set up ur welder .could make it easier for you. Get more on...👍
Jesus Adrian it's only dawned on my now watching this video how much effort goes in to making the videos. They amount of times you set up the camera. In and out of the tractor like that would drive me mad😅. Fair play to you. As for expanding the farm and buying more land why would you. You have a lovely set up and just about enough time to keep on top of everything and keep everything right. More land more cattle more debt and less time for friends and family. Keep going the way you are your doing a super job. 👍
Very true, I don’t want to become a slave to farming either. I see lots of people killing themselves for what!! Makes no sense. Ya I love making the videos, not so much the editing though, 3 hours in that one which is a bit less than others. Thanks Adrian
I like that calfs ambition trying to climb the walls 😂.... drinkers are a nightmare. They all leak. New and old. Full time job changing and messing with them.... 🤯
Nothing is made the same or to last anymore A...great idea with rain water harvesting...can't wait for the big reveal and hopefully we get to see your father at play ...
They have grey dung whenever they drink too much milk we had the same problem with of ours but it usually clears up a few days later, great vid Adrian love seeing what you get up to on the farm
Next time when opening the pit try use the rollers for drawing the tyers up will be able 2 put 2 rows on the pipes and a row on the top u can fit a lot more
Hi Adrian, we had the same drinkers as you up until about five years ago. We changed them for JFC tip over ones and they are excellent. They have been in with big continental cows that seem to think they are head scratchers .and they’ve lasted the test so far. We’ve some of the other type drinkers in other pens and they are a disaster, if you get a good ball valve let us know. Thanks, love the channel..
I think Cavan could do with that calf in midfield she’ll catch every ball that is kicked out how high she just proved she can jump, great vid keep up the good work
Try use bolous on cows start of breeding season. Last season vet administered in injection form as I milked so was really easy and efficient. We had tested for everything and nothing of worry showed up but since bolous cows look way better. Pre scan all cows week before breeding season. These 2 things have helped tighten up our calving season. Keep up the good work 👍👍🤠
hi, i farm in limerick in a few farms and a great way to prevent waste on the sides of the pit is to line the walls with plastic works very well, great content
Great video Adrian, biggest problem harvesting rain water is filtering out sediment, blocks wash pump and drinker valves, if storing in IBC get the black ones, algae grows in the clear ones due to sunlight getting through. Would you consider sinking a well? Keep mains water for house
Lookin forwars to the project also we have all our gutters connected up to ibc's and harvest the water into that its cheaper then getting a tank and does as good of a job
You should get few big square bales I don't know how many round bales of straw you get but the big square balls have 2 and a half round Bales in one and it comes of nicely I think they are up in meath or some where around there
Brilliant video as always, iv had a few drinkers over the years the problem been the ballcock balls Fill's with water and Pull's ballcock down making them overflow.. It's something you would not think of
Shear grabs a good job for moving bales. Dont needa peirce them just put the spikes in tight and close the grab until she lifts without pulling the bale apart
@@IFarmWeFarm Agree they were built to last , but ive had some struggles undoing iron pipes is what i was meaning . i was just thinking about you . if you could cut the pressure down to them it might help .
@13 minutes u were talking about drinkers you could try and put a little block of wood behind the bottom half of the drinker. u could put in a bore hole so the water comes out of the ground and this would stop ur expensive water bill
Must be some Limousin blood in that calf climbing that wall. And how come every time I've seen you move tyres off the pit and roll the sheet its a lovely blue sky sunny day? Very often when I do it I get a day with a howling gale, horizontal rain, with the sheet flapping around my head.
I was at the Ploughing about ten years and there was a man selling sheets of tyres chained or bolted together for covering silage. I thought it was a good idea but I am not a farmer. Just wondering if it ever took off.
There’s a company I only came across a few weeks back, Hansen in the name, great quality wash down jet nozzle for washing down the parlour, they also do water fittings, ball valves and floats, when you get a chance look into it, they might be the answer to ur water troughs

@@IFarmWeFarm I did too. I would love to have a shed to put my two horses in, feed and my old truck. Never mind the tools, feed and at sometimes hay. IF wishes were horse...poor men would be riding...beautiful work, Adrian. Love watching your videos. I was wondering about when the calves would be coming. I know you want them on the ground before St. Paddy's Day, but it did not happen this year. You do have some really pretty calves. And I do love those beautiful royal blue jackets the claves have on. Farmer Phil is always cleaning out the waters too.
Why do you give ur calves straw instead of hay?do the cows not knock over your stacked tyres when they are in that paddock?and are the stock man calf feeders fairly robust?great video
Calves do well in straw too, develops there cud, there’s an Eletric fence around the tyres before the cows get into that paddock, yes them stockmen feeders are very strong indeed 👍
I don't see anyone using tyres anymore, all ours were buried years ago. Everyone around uses gravel bags as the wire gets into the cows stomachs especially from the really old broken ones like some of yours!
It’s all tyres around these parts, can’t see how the wire can get into the silage though as they sit on top of the covers. My dad used to cover the pit with old cattle dung and bedding, it’s was a mess to work with but it’s all people had back then I guess
@@IFarmWeFarm I'd say it's probably not so much of an issue with yourself as you keep the place very clean and tidy. Your loading straight into the bucket and away. I'd guess alot throw them about etc and more chance for damaged tyres to shed wires? On a larger scale farm more chances of a problem with number of head. Maybe if you could not use your damaged ones to save any future issues?
That calf that jumped onto the wall has just made my day haha. keep up the great work up
God Bless the Farmers 🙏 My uncle still runs the family farm in Kiskeam, and my cousins husband runs a large dairy farm near Blarney Castle. 👍 🇺🇸 🇮🇪
Great video Adrian I just love the how clean the place is. It's a credit to you and the family can't wait for the big reveal 👍👍🏴

For the pit i think you need to put a cover on the walls we do that and it ia all ways perfict.mabe just try it the next time
Never a quiet day for you Adrian!
I like that calfs ambition trying to climb the walls 😂.... drinkers are a nightmare. They all leak. New and old. Full time job changing and messing with them.... 🤯
Tip when moving the calves, walk in front of them holding their drinker with a small bit of milk in it. They will run after you
Ahh Adrian I’m looking forward to seeing your project keep up the good work unreal videos😎
great video lad had a good laugh when the calf tried to climb the wall😂😂
The case just sits in that wee shed nicely

Great video. Those calves are so cute. I love seeing the different buildings on your farm.
We were the same about the water, what we did was drilled for a well and set up a pump and filter system it’s a great job u should look into it

What I would do is Chuck all the tires that u want of the pit down then just put them in the bucket and great vid mate 🏴
That motorized scraper must be the handiest thing since sliced bread
Great Video Adrian!! You've super calves, fair play to all of ye!!!
Still enjoying your farming lifestyle from

Looking forward to the big reveal 👍🏼
When will we be getting a slurry video with the new tanker
Sure thing very soon
hi, i farm in limerick in a few farms and a great way to prevent waste on the sides of the pit is to line the walls with plastic works very well, great content
Great video Adrian. Fine looking calves.
Get the Buvette drink bowls from O Donovans Engineering in Coachford Cork, you'll never look back.
Well Done Adrian, just sent your Channel to a friend in New Zealand

Absolutely love this channel brilliant always clean sheds/yard/cows brilliant work mate happy farming 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Your a busy Man A.....Another great vlog, thanks for sharing it with us
Great video. Had a good laugh when the calf jumped into wall😂
Very good love it look forward to next Sunday thanks 😎😎😎
Great film Adrian. Looking forward to the project. Have a great day.
Love your setup , it looks a perfect place to work.

Yip we have that issue to, they don’t float to well when there full of water. Really cheap rubbish
Fabulous video.
buetiful black and white calf
Love all the vids but esspically the one's of just day to day runnings of the place 👍🏻
I love your vids I'm waiting to see the next one all ready😂 keep it up
Great video nice looking calf’s it is going to see the sun 🌞 out stay safe keep them coming 🏴🏴🇬🇧🇬🇧😷😷👍👍🚜🚜👩🌾👩🌾
Shear grabs a good job for moving bales. Dont needa peirce them just put the spikes in tight and close the grab until she lifts without pulling the bale apart
Brilliant video Adrian totally agree about the drinkers they are complete waste of time 👌💪👍
Our horses used to put up the lids, grab the float and pull it up straight; flooding the stall... After that the float wasn't right.
Adrian have you ever thought of using the bale lifter on the front loader for moving the tyres it would hold quite a lot as well
Yes it’s handy too, wouldn’t hold as much as the grab though 👍
What a great video, keep it up 👍😁
used to hate fixing the old drinkers that had the tongue you pressed down .
They actually were a better drinker, miles ahead of these things
@@IFarmWeFarm Agree they were built to last , but ive had some struggles undoing iron pipes is what i was meaning . i was just thinking about you . if you could cut the pressure down to them it might help .

Is it an old Brown come on Adrian don't be a teaser 😀 love your videos 👍👍
If you tilt the bucket up in full you fit more tyres in it. You put tyres standing in the bucket you fit more
i find you can stack more tyres in the grab and i have the extra big bucket
Good man great video your great at making videos
Finally....I was waiting for it.👍
Great video 👍
Hi Adrian I take it your cattle ahead was built in 1997 by Morris, seen his name ingraved in the wall,u have a great setup for your calves 👍
My dad built that one, nice thing to have
I think the guts of them drinkers come from the same place that make the toys for kinder eggs. I feel your pain😢
Its all Chinese rubbish, talk to any plumber & he will tell you the same with tap washers/cartridges its just all junk nowadays,

Hi there keep up that great that ya ré doing it great to see it
Put in a small tank up high on the wall and gravity feed it to the bowl . Less pressure .
Great video

The calves are great, I think one of them thought they were spiderman, only to realise they weren't , lol.
Ya she certainly has a spring in her step 🤣🤣
Love the vids keep safe
Check out the brush system in Famer phils new vid at 13:13
Did you ever try to use your tipsy ben forks to take the tires off the top ?

JFC dumpy drinkers are definitely the way to go.....worth the longer term investment
Quite expensive though but they look great
Love the video

I'm guessing it's going to be a massey ferguson 135🤔
Class video Adrian would you find the straw, hay or silage better for the calf’s stomach.
Can’t beat good quality hay for young calves if you can get it
You could make a few bucks by grinding up the salt licks and selling it on as Himalayan pink rock salt.
😂😂
You should try a delaval drinker
If u flick the bucket up the bolt should go across to lock bucket in save ya getting out
Yes good quality you will be able to buy 100
