I do this exactly the same way; it's great! Been doing it this way for 30+ years now. My family is always wondering why I have so much tape near my piano (and why I get upset when they take it and lose it)!!

Never thought of the "cutting out the holes "part. I use a binder too, but the plastic sheet protectors can shine too much, so I'm going to use tape method. I tape on the back of the music, not the front so it doesn't erase the printed music after a few years. Thanks for the Chopin Revolutionary Etude story video also.

I do the same thing! (Except I tape the back sides of the page since sometimes the tape will glare under bright light and make it hard to read what's under the tape). Now I just have to get around to actually doing it and organizing it all! Thanks for the inspiration to do so :-)

Absolutely wonderful. Thanks so much! I’ve been having to tape music for years and would have loved to have seen this years ago!!

The main takeaway is that i need to arrange my sheet music better haha
(I don’t perform but i do compose at an extremely low level)

Another tip for page turns: if even after looking for a way to do the page stuff it's still hard, you can add a blank page to the spread in order to make it easier.

Henrique, I’ve enjoyed your videos. This one, more informal, was just as enjoyable, more maybe.

Henrik, You think of everything! Why didn't God make pianists with three hands, one to turn pages!😉
Your instructions make it all easier...

Lol I do that! My trick for longer pieces, say 6 pages, I reduce the print size when I photocopy the music, cut them so they’re smaller pages, & then tape them together. I worked as an accompanist, as a pianist/vocalist for weddings (accompanying self on piano), & of course performed piano solos.
All of my wedding music is in a 3-ring binder.

Binders are great! I'm afraid I wouldn't see good enough with smaller format, but I suppose if it's music you know you only need minor cues it would be enough.

wow! Thank you, this is useful :) By the way, is it correct that your upright piano behind you is Grotrian-Steinweg?

      It's actually a German Rönisch.

Well, it's fairly common to use cheat sheets in jazz with just melody and chords, sometimes just chord progressions. I think the same thing can be done with simple classical pieces, so all that sheet music can be just dumped there and you can just stick a post-it on your piano lid.

HaHaHa! ....and I thought I was the only one who had these kinds of MAJOR problems with the music!

I always tape the pages from behind with a small gap between (perhaps about half a millimeter). With that gap, page folding works in each direction and I don't have to commit to one possibility.

Do you know you can buy ready A4 pocket binders meant for music sheets, where the middle part of the insert is hollow for you to do notation, and also able to spreads to 4 pages. Since I discovered them I stopped taping!
