Which "side" particularly would you recommend us at Jarrat? Like to stay away from the noise of cars and all. And is Jarrat like a HOSTEL owned by campus or "STUDENT HALL" as its called there? What about gender restrictions, apart from alcohol and parties. Like I would prefer an only-girls accommodation but what if some room mate brings guys over? Is that even allowed?
Hello! So I reached out to my friend Nila who helped me make this video. She says you can request to be in a women-only flat, so your housemates would only be women, however, you can't control who they bring over so they could have male friends or partners visiting them. So you won't know in advance where in Jarratt Hall you'll be place but you can request a quiet flat on your application. Jarratt Hall is owned by the university and is considered part of campus. Hope that helps :)
@Lucy Hargrave the video was very helpful. But I have the same doubt which S.M has!!! Even if we request a women-only flat, would it be guaranteed that we would get a all female only flat? Additionally, how is the 5 room flat separated from the other flats and other floors? I mean are there doors at the entry/exit? I'm asking on behalf of a female friend who has an admission offer at Unviersity of Birhmingham and is considering Jarrat hall. Thanks in advance
