Frank O'Farrell signed Bobby Kellard from Bristol City and he was really tough midfield player who could pass the ball too. Then Frank left to manage Man United and Jimmy Bloomfield came to manage us from Orient and first thing he did was to get rid of Kellard to Crystal Palace. I could never understand that because Kellard was the leader on the pitch that we lacked.
If you're a Leicester fan and remember the Jock Wallace era, then you'll understand the description. Great footage Mark and good quality. Thanks for the upload.
Some of my favourites here: Bobby Kellard, Rodney Fern, John Farrington, Len Glover, Graham Cross, Steve Whitworth & David Nish. This must have been the old Second Division winning season 1970/71.
Not that familiar with uploading, so dont really know what you mean (Meaningless tags? didnt realise i'd done any) , basically did it to get the embeded code If you advise what I should do, I will upgrade, or will look into it in time
Not in the second part as too young. Try on 45 or so seconds, dark shorts and white shirt. See link under Jock Wallace. Trust me!! www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/gallery/leicester-city-fc-managers-through-1824326

FANTASTIC Video!!! I was spellbound all the way through. The pitch at Belvoir Drive looked like quicksand..PROPER footballers

Love the sound at 3:18... I thought some ambient house track was about to start.
Gives an impression of fit flyers for players, definately useful on the pitch.
Thanks for this great video, times have changed indeed.
This is great footage! Frank O'Farrell's my great uncle :)
He is also my great uncle ! Hi cuz from Cork 👍
My condolences on his loss, Matt.
RIP Frank.
They were the fittest team in England at the time.
The good old training sessions of those days .
Brilliant video 👍🏻
Good days
Peter Shilton 21 going on 50.
I get the bit with the hill but otherwise what dreadful training conditions. I think things have changed somewhat.
Anyone know what this footage was used for, Was it a broadcast on the news, any idea what channel?
Not a snood, scarf, tights, gloves, rocket heater, tattoo in sight....probably on £90 a week not 500k like Sanchez who's not even playing!!!

All we see is 90 mins on the pitch. What the players go through in a week is hurrendous
They're all dressed like sailors on that training ground.
Where's Lineker???

Giving his dad a hand at Leicester Market.
I think Jock Wallace was a sadist
Not impressed.
Love the sound at 3:17... I thought some ambient house track was about to start.
