    I've just come across your work Karen. It's amazing and so unique the way the layers of colour form abstract patterns. I'm wondering though what tool you are using to push the paint around?

    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you very much for watching. The tool is a bowl scraper. There is a list with links in the "more" section that shows the products I like to use. Here is a link to that item: Shapers/Bowl Scraper: amzn.to/450hUYI

    What a beautiful and fun thing to see first thing on a snowy winter morning! This music is perfectly paired with the mood of the painting.- Do you use fluid acrylics or do you just mix regular, or heavy body, with water? Just curious. As always, thank you so very much, Karen, for sharing this to lift my spirits and start the day on a bright, happy note! ❤️⛄️❄️☀️❤️

    I love the vibrancy of the colours, well done and thanks for sharing Karen! Do you prep your canvas with Gesso before painting? It looks like the painting is absorbed by the fabric.

    I love this one, Karen. Do you use watercolor paper or is this a canvas?

    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's a stretched canvas although I did have to put a piece of foam core on the back side temporarily to make the canvas tighter.

    Always so beautiful!!
    Do you let dry between each layers?
    And is the titanium white diluted with water also?

    • @karenhalepaintings
      @karenhalepaintings  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually I let the layers dry but in this one there was more wet into wet application. The white was diluted a little.

      Thanks for watching. I generally just use water, once in a while I'll use a matte medium. This piece did have some for the flow factor.
