This song, "Ordinary World" by Duran Duran, and "Regret" by New Order gave me a little hope that the 80s music wasn't dead yet in 1993...

You're right! A very interesting comment and thought actually because from the 80s, it's the new wave and pop/rock bands of the 80s who had the biggest challenge and odds against them when it came to moving into the 90s. Other new wave or new wave-pop/rock artists that successfully coasted into the 90s were Depeche Mode, Go West, Roxette, INXS, The Pretenders to name a few.

We missed going to the TFF concert, but after PCS'ing, we got to see them play at the Fabulous Fox Theater in downtown Atlanta! A great show, featuring the #legends @gailanndorsey on bass guitar and @olettaadams (of 'Woman In Chains' fame) as guest vocalist! Abso-freaking-lutely fabulous performance, but really missed @curtsmith not being there! #TFF ❤️‍🩹 Some of the best music by mankind ever!

Seeing TFF together again play this song for the first time was amazing, it was always meant to be them as a duo. Nobody plays bass on these songs the same, no disrespect to the session players, but Curt IS the bassist. Their newest album shows just how amazing they were, hopefully will be for a while longer. Diva is damned good, inherited her father's talent for sure, hope she has a great career.

used to wait so long for MTV to play this song when it was first released back in 1993!1 only saw this video maybe twice at the most and always wondered why this was not more of a bigger hit which it should have been!1 Even though they were not the same without Curt Smith Roland Orzabal and this line up of tears For fears s till knocked it out of the park with this one!! Had it been released just a couple o years earlier I am convinced would have been much more bigger!1 Unfortunately the legendary run of eighties artists began having so much trouble cue to grunge globbering up everything musically around 1993!1 Love also the ultracool Me'shell nedge Ocello on bass offering all divine musical services to give this gem a pinch more of american soul oh yeah!1 I started drifiting more to thtowrds VH1 around this time for MTV started its eventuall decline around this era as well but still played some damn good music videos includ9ng this one!1 God bless tears for fears for tehy shall always remain timeless!1
