It's crazy how jobs look at job hopping but a lot of companies bait you in/ lie about pay and benefits so how can a person suppose to sustain in the high cost living in society if a job lies about pay and benefits...these companies want you to make a commitment long term but if they decide to close up shop or let you go then it's all good

I was just saying this same thing to someone the other day… what other industry is this dirty and grimy? Lie, don’t pay all miles, sometimes just flat out don’t pay for loads and companies hold it against you cuz you didn’t stay?

I hauled fuel before for Groendyke Transport for over a year, I use to get nervous about cross dropping fuel, I did make a few suggestions I wish I was an engineer of some sort LOL. I ask if it was possible to make the fitting for desal gas squire. But as time pass you get use to it and you have to pay very close attention to what you are doing and DO NOT take short cuts. I had OSHA follow me for 5 days without knowing and that last day I was being evaluated I almost came close to breaking ONE step in my routine (measuring the tank), I thought about it and I was like NOPE stick to the plan. Long story short when I came out the store this seasoned sharp gentlemen walk up to me and said "young man, I just want to shake your hand" me looking confused HUH👀... "That was the best damn week of evaluating I've done in a while after many years of doing this" I am thinking to myself I am just trying not to seriously injure someone or kill myself doing this job LOL🤣I hear so many horror stories true or not it spook the shit out of me, loved the job though. Anyway, Osha gave me a safety award lol

Job hopping was a big deal when i started driving 23 years ago but for me i am worth what I am worth. Trucking companies tend to use a bait and switch which isn't fare to that individual.
I work for a company that starts you off 105k a year and they treat you like a professional now I may leave because i need to be local. thanks for the information now I see why i haven't gotten a call... I live 1.15 minutes from the destination I applied for.

Why dont the companys change the fittings on the hose for diesel and one for gas so there will be no cross drops so like diesel fitting wont hook up to gas and gas wont fit on diesel

Fuel hauling is harder than I thought to get into with no prior experience
They ain’t going for it in Houston they have too many applicants.I talked to Ashley Brooking one of the recruiters he had on the channel and she told me the managers in Houston requires fueling experience

I love Loves. Many years in and out of that store from travels. Haven't applied yet, haven't seen any local positions, however there is one about 3 hours away. It would be no different than being over the road for an OTR or construction job that requires it and only being home on weekends. Would be worth the exchange though, just my personal opinion. Eventually a closer position or even if you wanted to move to another state being able to transfer is fabulous.❤
They have local driving jobs. Home every night.

I have had alot of jobs but I have 31 years experience I have a crystal clean driving record and 6 months exp gas hauling they hired me I am almost done training im just trying to get carded In as many places as I can for the loading aspect of the job
Why would you need double/triples endorsement? I ask this as everytime I've visited a Gemini fuel transport position it asks for doubles/triples endorsement.

Imagine being a non-drinker, clean driving record, no pill or drug abuse getting rejected and know of people whom have and do (get approved) makes ya sit back and scratch your head after going into trucking to bring safer roads.🤷
Some people have only changed jobs for growth in the new career, expanding knowlege and skill set should not go against legit drivers. Didn't get my twic card yet but do have all the others.
No hiring manager gets it right 100% of the time. It is what it is. If someone gets rejected from a job they feel they should have gotten, keep applying for other jobs. People have to change their mindsets and how they look at certain things. Keep a positive outlook. Maybe a person doesn’t get that job because there is a better opportunity waiting for them. They just can’t see it in that moment. To your other point, if a person changed jobs because of the reasons you mentioned then that probably won’t disqualify them from getting hired. If the explanation is valid, I’m sure the company would take that into consideration. That’s my point.
Floridians are off-limits. They won’t hire us here unless we have prior fuel tanker experience. Not even “tanker” experience is enough. Nit oil, water, or even liquid Haz-Mat is good enough for them. It’s absolutely disgusting, and I will never fuel at Loves again or buy anything from their stores. The only way for a Florida resident to work here, with no “fuel” tanker experience, is to move to a different state entirely, and hope that they’re hiring in the area you reside. That’s it. The only way to end this foolishness is to try to find another tanker company in FL. And when you get on with them, don’t move or jump to over Loves/Gemini after you’ve gained that experience. Stay loyal to the tanker company that found you to be worthy and actually gave you a chance to prove yourself as a wonderful asset to their company. Loves/Gemini will always keep hiring their own employees from other states to come down and take all of the FL Gemini jobs anyway. It’s what they do.👎

Let's cut the chase how much do they pay in california, because $27/hr is peanuts for the risk and all the endorsements the driver has to have not all drivers are qualified and employer know ot its just a matter of paying the fair amount to keep a qualified driver.
I would continue to watch if I would haul a BOMB for less than $130k a year
How strict are they on hiring people with criminal record ?
Ashley said they’re a second chance company & that it’s a case by case basis & long as you’re upfront and honest from the jump then they’ll consider bringing you onboard.

I know I'm late but job hopping? So when someone starts a company and don't make money and they switch for supporting their family you hold that against them? I've Job hopped 3 company's in last year alone cause $250 don't pay bills and sitting at home calling every day too see if you have a load to make money sucks js so yes I have job hopped but you need to know the circumstances behind it instead of holding it against the driver right out the gate
Some over hire and give great load status to the newbies while choking out the ones whom were already dedicated. It happens.
Sounds like you need to do more research before you hire on to a company.

Kinda dated commenting on this video but it came up in my feed. Anyways if hauling fuel for loves is such a good job, and I hope it is, why would they even need a recruiter? I mean I would think there would be a long line of applicants for every location.
Love’s (Gemini Motor Transport) is a huge company. That’s one reason they need recruiter’s. The majority of trucking companies in the industry have recruiters so I’m not really sure what you’re implying. All you have to do is read a lot of the comments on this thread. Many of them are people who are trying to get hired with this company.
@@imanthonytv I’m trying to say I don’t see why loves needs recruiters because it seems like they have a great gig and have a lot more people wanting to work there than they have openings for. I’d think there would be a waiting list.

Not surprising. As with most things nowadays, under qualified recruiters without a clue as to how to hire well qualified drivers. Chris actually told me I was wrong for leaving a company that was not paying me for loads that I had completed but was not getting compensated for. I guess I was supposed to work for free. How do people get so brainwashed. What a moron!

It's a shame to hear about the driver facing camera, pass. I actually want a company forward facing camera plus one of my own, 100% good with that. I've had a driver camera for a year and I won't go back to it, not trying to make a sandwich while I'm driving lol it's just nerve wracking, don't miss that at all

Huh? I’ve never asked anyone to donate to my channel. If you’re referring to the “donate to channel” link in the channel description it’s because a subscriber asked me how could he send me a donation. This was early on when I first started my channel. I probably had less than 600 subs. My channel wasn’t even monetized at that point. The guy actually sent me $100 because he really enjoyed the content & liked my positive attitude even though he wasn’t a truck driver. That is why the link was created.
