14:20 That doesn't work for every kid. You can help them learn about solving problems and fixing stuff without being emotionally absent. Dismissing their problems as not your own and leaving them to fix things themselves can be very hurtful. That's how people get trust issues and insecurities. Talk to your kids, understand their feelings and treat them like people. Helping others isn't always weakness
If you think any of that about that man and how he fathered his child you need to re-think your mindset and try watching it again. If he was "emotionally absent" or "dismissing their problems" He would not have cared enough to remember this a day, or a week later, let alone well into his later years. Nor would he have shown curiosity and amazement (feigned ) at the child's solution to the problem. Your correct, helping others isn't a weakness, but teaching someone to help themselves is generally the more useful way to learn.
@@SkUbA_0 I'm not taking parenting advice from someone who doesn't know the difference between "your" and "you're". And English is my second language. In this situation the kid solving his own problem is required for the man to show that he cared at all. Do you know why anxiety and depression are through the roof? Why emotional outbursts are now commonplace on apps like TikTok?
