Put something soft under your page before you stamp.
Like foam. It helps a lot. :D
For your prints:
Get a free collage app. Make your collage in there. Put a boarder around the whole thing. Transfer to printing app. Depending on the printer, you might want to pull it up or down before printing.
For Sprocket for example: I make a 7 pixel boarder around the whole thing and pull the image down, in the printing app. Voila, no more cut off edges, tops and bottoms.
You can cut them just fine with scissors.
Personally I prever them to come on sticker paper. Less fuss with trying to put glue on the back etc.

thanks for the suggestions. I've been scrapbooking + stamping for over 20 years so I have a pretty good system going and like the supplies I'm using and my process as I've tried nearly everything at some point or another. :)

Your link for the Epson PictureMate is for the desktop printer. Not the mini photo printer. And I cannot find it in Amazon. Can you provide the correct link?

This is the photo printer that I use. This is the correct link. It's not a desktop printer. It's not a tiny portable photo printer, but it's a small photo printer and not a large desktop printer.
