It’s like they’re going back in time with the case sizing. I really liked the small compact case you could fit in your pocket without it looking weird on the II and ultras.
Dude...the problems you having out of the rebooting ...is something that happened with the previous Bose. Which is why this is not "The Best" of 2024". I think you are just in your honeymoon period because a lot of earphones releases have the same if not better features and way better app in 2024. Rebooting, crashing, and hanging apps are just not acceptable. But thanks for tell us viewers about the issues you are already finding out of the box. Just confirms that Bose still hasn't fixed issues.
After more testing I figure out the issue. Bose kinda cheap out with the “in-ear sensor” it’s more capacitive than proximity based. So if the bud doesn’t make contact with your skin perfectly or you have ear wax or smudge in that area it will freak out. So kinda a user error but little bit of a design flaw. I’ll contain to test and give a video update .
Bose does end up fixing the atrocious app/connection issues. I have the ultras, and I couldn't stand the app problems. But now, it works perfectly and seamlessly! You just have to wait for it
I’m an individual with a disability and so comfort is very important for me. These look great. My only question is I’ve heard that there are charging problems because the stability fin can shift and block the charging pads in the case. Have you had any problems with this?
@@briantmorin haven’t had any charging problems but I did switch to smallest tips so the aware sensor wouldn’t accidentally trip. For me these are the most comfortable but after some time any bud might cause fatigue.
Holding out for holiday sales. Bose price points are all pretty similar now which makes things really interesting. Refurbished Ultras, QC2, and the new release, all 3 about 180 210 range.
Do they produce any white noise if ANC is on and no music playing or is it just dead silence like a sleeping plugs? My previous Bose QC gen 1 were producing a white noise.
Yea no gimmicky Spatial Audio modes on these, no connection problems BUT they cheapened out on the “in-ear detection” sensor. Depending on your ear shape you might run into some issue.

In my testing the Bass is equal but can be improved because of the 5 band EQ. You might want too wait for another reviewer that measure more accurately sound profiles etc But for me at $180 im very satisfied with the Quiet Comfort gen 2.
Heads up Bose made a weird decision with the "In-ear detection" sensor on these buds, they are capacitive instead of proximity based. Just figured that out and depending on peoples ear im expecting major usability issue Curious if your pair will experince it too, looking foward to your review.

Got mine last night extremely comfortable and anc and transparent mode is S+ tier but sadly i think ima have to return them because the AI voice command feature doesn't work and i think you reviewers knew it didn't work which is why non of you guys attempt to use it during review i paid $195 total need everything working properly for me to keep it....

Better reason would be connectivity issues or a defect. If you want voice command go with the Galaxy buds 3 pro it's best in the game when it comes to that. Bose still king of ANC though so I'm keeping mine for that since it didn't cost me a leg and an arm like people spent on the Ultras which btw had way more problems than the new QC

These are better than AZ80 in all category for the price, except case is plastic and bulky and multipoint isn’t as seamless. I’m low key loving the Bowers and Wilkins Pi8 right now, get those or the Pi6 if you’re on a budget

I read in the other comments that the ANC is as good as the ultra so I guess that part is clear, but what about the phone calls how do you rate them? Honestly the only reason I never went for the ultra is their horrible call quality. Wanted to know if these are any better.
So just to give you an update, MTW 4 are better now with firmware update, they are good buds I just dont like the fit/ desgin. The call quality im still testing but right now my favorite buds are Bose QC gen 2 and the Bowers and Wilkins Pi8

Haven’t tried the Pearl Pro and not convinced by reviews that sounds is “god tier” I like the new Bose a lot sound wise and comfort, aware mode and ANC are stellar. Only other bud I’d recommend rn is Bowers and Wilkins Pi8
I was so happy when I saw these because I still rock the forst generation, I have 2 pairs of those. But come on they took away the swipe volume controls for the inferior touch and hold. They should have even added swipe track controls like the bigger headphones have, missed opportunity to make these better. Also the first generation is still superior when it comes to comfort because the entire piece that goes inside your ear is flexible silicone.
I’m still editing my review but rn top earbuds are the Bower and Wilkins Pi8 or the Pi6 if you’re on a budget. The QC gen 2 are good if you like Bose are on a budget and favor noise canceling, case is cheap plastic doe.
I bought the ultras two months ago from Bose and returned them recently. They had connectivity issues and sometimes the ANC would switch on its own and get "stuck". Like it's in-between two different modes. I had enough and sent them back. I bought the new QC buds and I think I'm going to return them as well because in my opinion they don't sound nearly as good as the ultra and even the 2020 QC earbud sounded better. Heck I had the SoundSport free ear buds from Bose and I think those sounded better than the new QC buds.

@Fredo.heavyy they didn't get dirty over a year, and don't think this is an actual problem. These fabric cases are virtually scratch proof which is also very handy.

NGL I felt that way first couple mins using them. Then I accidentally sent my volume on max and blew my ear drums out, every has their preferences. They get loud enough for me and comfort is amazing, 10miles 8:21 pace for 1 hour 21mins barely noticed them in my ear.
So Bose could improve. Fredo, how is the ANC and transparency mode compared to the Bose QC Ultra or Airpod Pro 2 🙏🏽 Ps: on the other hand, the case should have been much thinner, it's almost impossible to walk around with this thing in your pocket 🤷🏽♂️
According to my test and even Bose reps the ANC is as good and the transparency mode is improved. Still doing testing but it hold up to NYC traffic and everything else.

Bruh i just spent the last 2 hours watching all your earbud comparison videos and I narrowed it down to if I want comfort but also the best value I should get the AZ80’s. I’m a hybrid athlete too and I just need something that’s going to be comfortable, not slide out my ears and also sound almost as nice as my over ear XM5s. At this point I’m kind of overwhelmed. What would you recommend?
Get the new Bose quiet comfort for $180, just ran 10 miles in them and did a couple gym sessions and they are amazing. If you value sound quality a little bit more go for the new Bowers and Wilkins Pi6
SAFETY ISSUE: Bose QC earbuds gen 2 has a safety issue with its notification sounds, including voice prompts. They are by default at an EXTREMELY HIGH volume level and they are UNADJUSTABLE and can NOT BE DISABLED.

Sound quality over is good. They are not super bass like cheap earbuds but they do get loud.

Yea tapping in the buds is annoying.
When switching modes or pausing music it’s a “loud” thump, kinda a user error thing if you’re heavy handed

It’s a design quirk where the ear tip will block the proximity in ear sensor, gotta really play with the fit to guarantee you don’t have same issue.

According to my test and even Bose reps the ANC is as good and the transparency mode is improved.
Still doing testing but it hold up to NYC traffic and everything else.
@@Fredo.heavyy If it doesn't have the same connection problems as its predecessors, and especially that the microphones in phone calls in noisy environments are good, Bose has a winner here.
But on the other hand, frankly, I can't understand Bose's problem with huge cases, it will surely be fine for other people, but it's clear that I'm automatically eliminated.

Bruh i just spent the last 2 hours watching all your earbud comparison videos and I narrowed it down to if I want comfort but also the best value I should get the AZ80’s.
I’m a hybrid athlete too and I just need something that’s going to be comfortable, not slide out my ears and also sound almost as nice as my over ear XM5s. At this point I’m kind of overwhelmed. What would you recommend?
Get the new Bose quiet comfort for $180, just ran 10 miles in them and did a couple gym sessions and they are amazing.

SAFETY ISSUE:
Bose QC earbuds gen 2 has a safety issue with its notification sounds, including voice prompts. They are by default at an EXTREMELY HIGH volume level and they are UNADJUSTABLE and can NOT BE DISABLED.

Yes it’s chunky and cheap but the buds are so comfortable you can leave the case at home
I will make a comparison video about the two models later.
But the new QC 2nd gen have equal ANC and better Aware mode
@@Fredo.heavyy I've never thought of leaving the case at home lol! Now that these last for 8.5 hrs I don't think the big case is much of a problem anymore and I keep them in my bag anyway so in reality the thick case will not be too much of a problem for me
