This was a piece commissioned as a Christmas present. I tried to make as realistic to a real foot as possible. I had a look at the Terminator's leg for inspiration, but wasn't impressed.

Hi there, Thanks for commenting. nothing is planned, no drawings or photos. i like to keep lots of small parts handy on my bench, this is why you see me lifting pieces and welding them together. I see the scrap as shapes and not as scrap, so i build my sculptures like a jigsaw puzzle, every piece must fit in order to complete the picture ... many thanks :)

Hi there Chloe, to be honest i don't do any planning, i don't draw anything out, i have an idea in my head and i just build :) i was quite good at art at school but i didn't do anything with it. I've always enjoyed creating. The metal sculpting is what i mainly do, but i do some custom airbrush work, chainsaw carving and whittling...I hope this answers you Question ? many thanks :)

I am considering building a metal art Robot mailbox to stand by the road at the end of my driveway for all to enjoy, I am looking for inspiration and ideas.. your creations are outstanding masterpieces... Alan Vallejo Hi Allan, the gloves I’m wearing in the video aren’t proper welding gloves, I used to wear welding gauntlet’s but found them too clumsy to work with. I do get burned wearing thin gloves but I’ve been doing this for so long now, I don’t feel it anymore 😂

It seems to me that you don't do a lot of planning when building your sculpture. You look around for pieces and weld them together. Were those glow plugs you welding on the toes?

valveman12 Hi there Valveman, your absolutely right ! I don’t have any planning when I’m building, I know what I want to build in my head and I just go from there. People always comment about how untidy my worktop is, I like it this way as I can just look around me and see what I can use that fits😊 yes your right they are glow plugs... many thanks for your comment 👍👍👍
@@roosterscreations Fantastic foot my friend! You and I share the same shop layout philosophy, if it's all kind of laying out, it's much easier for the eye to see things that fit into the piece the brain wants to create. If the shop is all tidied up and everything in boxes, you lose track of cool things you might want to use in what your creating. So you'd have to spend many wasted hours dumping boxes out and refilling them every project. The way you do it is best in my humble opinion. So don't worry about the complaints of a messy shop, it's the only way to build efficiently and so creatively on the fly like you do! Keep up the awesome fantastic projects my friend! I'm still trying to get where I can do the time lapse like you do, I've got so much to learn. You do such a fabulous job!!👍👍👍
