  • This item combination completely breaks the difficulty of Nioh 2, leaving us Nioh 1 veterans with almost nothing to do.

    I'm not an expert but in my opinion by Way of the Nioh/Underworld the focus is more on damage and less on healing since enemies deal so much damage at the endgame by then--no amount of healing can make up for getting hit 3 times from an underworld boss. I can tell you being able to quickly apply confusion to enemies and buffing your own damage is WAY more important than healing.

      To a degree, yes. Practically speaking, you can still stack the hell out of life on amrita and on yokai hit to enable you to heal back all the damage you took near instantly. Damage still maintains it's importance in late underworld and into depths by way of the absolutely STUPID amount of healing the enemy gets compared to you, but the ability to quickly heal without having to spend a non-replenishable resource is still REALLY powerful.
      Of course, in late depths, you still end up with zero build variety because without a ki break or confusion build, bosses take a stupid amount of time to kill and get enough on hit regen to basically negate the last minute and a half's worth of effort. It's really quite unfun.

      I have a build planned that exploits this to the fullest. Just need a free night to throw it together, so look out for it.

    I remember back in Nioh 1 every build that you make need to use the living weapon thing, similar to yokai shift transformation but in yokai transformation you can't use your own weapon rather than that you use the transformation's weapon while in Nioh 1 you can use your own weapon and use the living weapon at the same time. So, when you someone hits you it will lower your health but it will decrease the length of living weapon same goes in yokai shift when someone hits you the length of transformation become shorter. So, what you need in Nioh 1 to make the effect stay longer you have to use Extraction talisman and Nioh 1 almost every build you make you have to use living weapon to make the build runs better so it's the same when you use amrita health recover thing in Nioh 2.

    Hi great video. I currently run Genbu as my main guardian spirit because I have a Omnyo build. Does it matter if I use Shin Roku as my second guardian spirit? Thanks!

    How come your yatsu no kami only costs 5 ? Mine costs 8, is there a way to lower that ?
    Also how come that spell that allows amrita to pop after every hit lasted for the whole fight ?

    Only things that matters in the underworld is dont get hit lol

      I am in the underworld for a while now and I get hit a LOT. Between guard, auto heals and defense buffs it's actually possible to trade with most enemies, other than perhaps the 4 DLC horsemen of power creep.

      But yea I just might. Probably gonna try and run a dodge ki reduction/ extend invincibility build for shits and giggles. I pretty much did all u can do in that game. ( In SOP as well I'm waiting for the last dlc.). Elden ring doesn't appeal to me with the designs and slow movements.

    No effective builds that don't rely on this stuff? Trust me there are good builds that aren't like yours at all, this is just your preferred play style.
    For instance I've used spear since Nioh 1, brought it here and made a stagger build(as a joke) that makes this build look funny because you even take damage.
    There are builds based on being able to do everything (my preferred style) and that makes the game a joke.
    There are builds that focus solely on aiming weapons only(bow, rifle, hand cannon) and absolutely wreck.
    There is no "right" way to play Nioh, only good, better, and best for one thing, at that point the question is
    "What do you want to do?"
    Make a sustainable tank, 1 hit, dot(damage over time), hot(heal over time), grapple, finish, use only 1 skill, shoot, throw, combo, etc...
    So yes, this is cool and all but this isn't all there is to this game.
    Edit: Yes, there are overlaps, people like to use some things because they're effective but not all builds use these things. ie: Extraction talisman, power pill, quick change scroll, etc.

      @iagolima573 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah, there are ways that makes the game easier, I used the axe with paralysis and spin to win, I literally kill any boss with two full spins, it's so funny sometimes, what's this build with the spear, I am trying to make something useful with that weapon but I can't.

    • @imaginedead1153
      @imaginedead1153 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iagolima573 I posted this ages ago.
      Umm, I used the Mataza set with skill damage really high and damage to poisoned enemies high.
      After that for spells I like the barrier talisman for bosses, Guardian spirit talisman for anything that will proc a stat effect other than poison(spear does that already).
      Ninjustu Flame Dragon Scroll, and (edit: Raijin)raisin feathers. (add whatever else you want. I guess Quick change would be interesting.)
      Soul Cores are personal preference, but Ippon Datura is a great animation cancel with some damage. Also if you have barrier talisman by the time you recover from the core you have full ki. Which is pretty nice
      NOTE: This is not a one off build but one made for Dream of the Nioh to have fun. I like to cycle though more than just 3 skills.
      Honestly though if I wanted I could just add Gozuki core and just one hit boss ki and like 3/4 of their health. If they're poisoned it's insta-kill. (boring as hell though)
      PS: Try Life leech talisman to get heal proportional to your damage on hit. It's much better than extraction because it's only 1 spell instead of 2.(Trade-off is that it's single target instead of a buff)
      Hope this helps some.
