At about 10:30 when you demonstrate going from g7 to c7, how do you get the chuck that you play on the second and fourth beats? If you have a video already on it, I'll watch that. I just can't see that you are doing anything different to make the sound! Thank you, I really enjoy your videos.

lessons are excellent, i have learned a lot from you. I play mandolin and a bit of irish fiddle as well as a bit of acoustic guitar and was just wondering if you would consider doing a series on flatpicking guitar using for example the tunes you used in the mandolin section? at the moment what I am doing is using the open g and c scales with a capo to play a few of the easy tunes.

Thanks very much! I don't think I am the one to do guitar lessons, unfortunately, as my skills are pretty limited. What I would suggest is working on picking out some D tunes without a capo, which is something I am working on at the moment myself. It is helping me break out of the G, C, and capo mentality, though there is nothing wrong with that approach either!

+MandoLessons cool thanks for that tip, basically I am taking the tunes as I said from the mandolin lessons and just flatpicking them on guitar, so for example Arkansas traveller is in D so I am just using the open C scale with capo etc. I'm not putting in many ornaments as I am not a fantastic guitar player but I enjoy it. is this ok? thank you once again.

Definitely! Playing it out of C position is just fine. if you feel like a challenge, give it a shot without the capo though, it's a different sound and might not be as hard as you think! Happy picking!
