🤣🤣 thank you for watching but also you get me. It's clearly the most important character arc of the whole movie and I need more people to catch on to that 😂
The people singing along, that's a twist on a traditional greek chorus. In ancient greek plays there would be a group of characters that weren't really characters but just chimed in. It is a nod to this being in greece. As well as fairly well cemented in musicals. Or, I'm entirely wrong.
If you are right then thank you for this. I actually didn't know about where the "chorus" idea came from. If you're entirely wrong...HOW DARE YOU?!?! Just kidding 😁
not you being bored of all the music...it's literally a musical which means 80% of the movie is them singing. Mamma Mia is honestly not that deep it's just a feel good movie, I really love it! It's actually my comfort movie
🤣🤣🤣 I know. I just didn't realize it was SO much music. I'm pretty sure if they had cut maybe a few songs and spread out the leftovers then I probably would've loved it more. And honestly, that movie kind of won cuz it's been 2 months since I watched it and I still think about it regularly 🤣 thanks for watching 😁
Is a musical movie and musical movies are like that, the other people became part of the songs, for the people that love Abba music this is gold, and a fun story, and that's what they want make people happy with the very catchy Abba songs
I understand it's a musical movie and that a chorus of singers will likely pop up during songs, I just thought this movie would not do that. Also if I wanted to just listen to ABBA songs then, like I said in my reaction, I would just go listen to the album. I didn't need a movie to do that. Just my opinion. But thank you for watching and I hope you enjoyed yourself 😁

I *love* Mamma Mia, having said that it took a few watches to get there. The first few times my best friend and I just laughed to be honest. We thought the singing (esp. Pierce Brosnan) was laughably bad. But they grew on me, and now I love them, even Pierce. I can totally understand why some wouldn't like it though. If you ever check out Mamma Mia 2, its also great BUT there are story issues. lol You do know musicals are mainly music though, right? lol
🤣 🤣 I do know that musicals are mainly music but I thought it would be more balanced with the story. It's fine tho because someone actually told me to go into watching them more like extended music videos rather than a movie so I'm gonna be trying that out soon and see if it helps.
@@r_cizzle To be fair, I think most musicals to truly enjoy take more then 1 watch. Just because there *IS* so much going on usually. With Mamma Mia, at least its already known music from ABBA. But I completely understand - this one is full of music. :)
@@terrylewis_ that's a fair point because I can definitely say that while this movie still isn't for me necessarily, after editing together my video and rewatching the movie at minimum 5 times, I have a much deeper appreciation for it now than I did after I initially watched it. Honestly this movie along with a few others are the reason I've considered doing like a post-edit review to go along with the reaction videos.
This movie is very much a typical musical (which it originally was, a stage musical). I actually love musicals and was in a couple in HS, so I love this movie. It's all crazy and campy and fun. I very much enjoyed your reaction though!
Yeah I'm starting to learn now that maybe my thing isn't the "typical musical" necessarily, but I'm still determined to find a movie musical that makes me have the same reaction that a lot of people like you have for these movies.
