Remember when she did a western horsemanship pattern on a Thoroughbred in the Thoroughbred Makeover Challenge that she won a few years ago? She did great on that and scored very high when she didn't even know that she was supposed to do a Horsemanship pattern at that competition until she got there.
@@xzahramx I don't exactly know except that she loped and trotted, stopped and backed up in a particular pattern around the arena to show how the horse could be ridden in a western saddle. It was a preliminary competition added a day prior to the barrel racing rounds, I think to show the overall rideability of the Thoroughbreds in this particular event because the focus was on all the many disciplines that Thoroughbreds can be trained to do after their racing careers are over. There are at least three videos on Fallon's channel from early October 2019.
Yes, she is very inspiring to me as is the relationships she has with her horses. Its so clear that they are not just a paycheck to her, they are her extended family. Its a beautiful thing to watch and am so glad she shares her journey with us!

@@donnaworrall9353 it’s definitely natural, generally if a horse is stiff or has a bodily or muscular issue they’ll be tense and stiff necked. Stiff and uncomfortable - generally higher neck carriage and tense back; soft and comfortable - lower neck carriage and supple back.

I have followed matt for years on TH-cam, I use all cowhorse and reining training skills for my Barrel Horses. It is a must. Barrel horses will perform so much better with many of these disciplines.

Understanding equine body mechanics helps. In order for a horse to collect and turn a barrel, they have to maneuver their body and rate speed similar to a reiner.

Ok so two things I want to say about this that just really blew me away on how great of a horsewoman Fallon really is #1 Lolo's run with someone who had never barrel raced. Like...it takes a special horse to make a run like that with a newbie. Granted he is a horseman and all but still...incredible training from Fallon #2 how well she did on the reining pattern. I never fangirl in these comments but honestly she deserves way more accolades than she gets for just being an all around horsewoman

When the horse lopes with there head and neck long and low, they look so humble.
They look uncomfortable since it is not a natural head and neck carriage.
