Found it very useful. Was planning on going to a bike shop but it turned out to be quite easy.

Great video! I was having trouble to remove my pedals and my search brought me here and indeed I had been trying to turn it the opposite way to loosen. So yay, I don't have to replace the crank arm :D
I'm curious why they are oriented this way where the pedal is turning in a loosening direction when we are pedalling. Shouldn't it be orientated in a tightening direction for safety?

It is. Long ago I learned this when changing wheels on Chrysler (autos) products - they were the first to do this, but most people stuck with the traditional "lefty loosey" approach and broke the studs.

I've broken many cheap spanners trying to remove seized pedals.

I got a used trek bike and the pedals are so tight they rusted. It's super frustrating

5:44 NO! Extending a wrench with a piece of pipe, or hitting the wrench with a hammer, is a big no-no when it comes to safety regulations. If you're working in a professional bike shop, and your "extended wrench" breaks resulting in an accident, then you're in trouble. If your wrench is too short, buy a longer wrench that's made for the job. Be professional. Invest in proper tools.

It's this something people don't know? I'll look it for the next video on sucking eggs.

Some riders really have no clue about how they're installed.

Just saying gmbn done same video not 2 days before this video came out . I think we should all be able to fit our own pedal's by now we have watched both videos . Constructive criticism 😄
